If there are 8 different flower combinations, then we have a 5/8 chance of winning, where the host has a 3/8 chance of winning. How do you plan on making any money with this? How will you get hosts if they obviously have much lower chances of winning? And some of the bets they will have to triple.

There are 7 common flowers and white/black. We as hosts win on 4 of those flowers, and from extensive research the win rate for a host is 58% and 42% to the better.
White and black is very rare, hence the x3. It is not including when calculating odds, simply 'something nice' for the betters.

They really are, doubling gets expensive very very quickly. You can't view it as you are due a win. Each plant has the same odds of losing. As a host you will find you make money of the doublets more than anyone else. All it takes is that one streak and they will bet their bank.
They may win some money from you but they then start to think their tactic is flawless, maybe even start at a higher level and they will eventually lose.
