Ideal Range-Tank Stats?
I've been wondering... what are the ideal stats of a range tank for f2p and then one for p2p? Also what quests should I do? Do I want prayer?
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Re: Ideal Range-Tank Stats?
f2p and p2p
99 range 99 defense.
your defense should be decided by how much you want to get hit. If you wanna get hit less, get higher defense

1/1/99/99/99/92/96
atk/str/def/range/mage/pray/summon

Re: Ideal Range-Tank Stats?
the ideal stats for a maxed range tank in f2p would just be 99 range 99 defence, 99hp, 44 prayer is optional.
in p2p however.. you're going to want
99 range
99 defence
99 hp
94 magic (lunar spellbook, veng)
44 prayer (74 prayer + rigour optional)
handcannon quests done.
see in f2p all you need is to have defence and range because addy arrows are the best thing you can use... but in p2p you need vengence and a handcannon and possibly rigour if you wanna be maxed tank :P

Is it really? Any other opinions on this? Is it because everyone wears full rune. And arrows vs rune pl8 = fail?

Re: Ideal Range-Tank Stats?
and also to add on to those that say 1 att/str, wow. you can get 70 att & str without affecting your combat, and that would OBV come in handy when training your def to 99, unless you feel like halving both your ranged and def exp in order to train the two in which i'd wish you good luck hah.
i recommend being a p2p tank, and also, don't go straight for maxing, get a nice 40 def 85 - 90 ranged 'rune ranger' first, because they're good for the lower levels and you have everything like veng etc. and when your tired of getting hit a lot/getting fun kills get your def up to move up in the ranks.
gl on it though, tanks are an investment of time, even if your botting it.

Re: Ideal Range-Tank Stats?
My personal favourite for a range tank is;
60 attack
90 strength
99 defence
99 ranged
99 mage
44 prayer
99 HP
the attack and strength won't take you over 103 combat but also have the good KO potential with a dds/claws

its because you would have to use melee in order to k0 due to addy arrows hitting consistent, but your max is like 180 so, unless they eat something with less than 180hp or you hit 180 like 5 times, you will require a r2h to make the final blow.

Re: Ideal Range-Tank Stats?
I'd also like to add that range tanks are pretty pointless, now everyone is aware of the anti-fire pots etc. Your big hits are out the window.

you've still got diamond bolts, dark bow *lol*, hand cannon & even broad bolts ko. along with the god arrows and their ridiculous high hits. the big hits are NOT out the window.
