I haven't played runescape in years, and upon starting to play the game again I took note of all the changes that took place. When I used to play all I used to do was hang out in the world 22 duel arena and make some high risk stakes, it was really all I enjoyed doing in the game...
Well with this new trade limit crap is there any way of staking large amounts of money anymore (not PKing)?

Duel tournaments if your maxed mele you can make a lot, cause they 15 + people staking 400k which is 6m(:

Do we at least have the option to change to agreeable rules before starting the match? Such as whip boxing etc or do they allow everything and make it like a PvP DM with no food =/?

Nope its like a pvp dm etc...some have different rules to them but all in all its stupid

yep, they did, now you LOOSE money when you pvp lol, unless ur extremely good and never die, or you just spec and teleport or run all the time, either way now pking is just for fun and not earnings :|

Even if you never die unless you sit and gain EP your supplies cost way too much.

On thread topic though. If your good, yes you can make some money off of it. But now adays there are far more gold guides that make more gp/hr than anything.

A) Experience
B) Coal Mining

This whole price cap stuff is bullshit... especially with the grand exchange put into the mix
Anyone with enough money or influence can manipulate the economy in their favor by purchasing monopoly over something...
Its like real life economical problems being translated onto this game :|

Edit: and @SyeDs Hunny Bear - coal seems to be worth as much as iron these days lol so it would seem like you get the best of both worlds from iron.

They fucked up the duel arena when they instituted the trade limit in '07 so I don't even set foot in there anymore.
