Default Splashing on spiders in lumby basement?

I keep seeing people splashing on the spiders in lumby basement, is this good exp or something? Someone please explain, I'm so lost.

They were probably bored. Spiders do not give good or even adequate XP. They don't drop anything whatsoever.

Many noobs train on them because they are particularly low leveled and have a fast re-spawn rate.

No, not the level 3 giant spiders -.- I'm not an idiot. They're purposely splashing wind strike on the level 1 spiders in the basement. Talked to a guy, he said its pretty good mage exp, even without gloves. 70k-80k an hour.

Its very Cheap mage exp. Very good if your on low cash or trying to Get a pures mage up W/o Wasting money on alchs.
