I'm just killing iron/steel drags, but i wanna know, with ring of wealth, how many iron drags you have to kill before you get a draconic.

12k if you kill the same one after someone else just killed one and got one, but it's all of how many times that drag got killed before honestly, i killed 100 dusties and got chain when ppl have killed 12k and gotten none.

So its based on luck?

There really is no answer to your question, or at least one that a member can give.

All drops are based on luck, we can't even give a rough estimate as there is no way to even give a rough estimate.

Some members kill a few and get a rare drop, while others kill thousands and thousands and simply get bones.

It gives 20% more chance to get a rare job. Say every 10k kills you get a visage (not talking about RuneScape), with a ring of wealth you would only have to kill 8.6k. It helps a lot, use a ring of wealth :].

honestly one shouldnt go to metal drags looking for a dragon drop.. I went there to train my mage and bought 5m worth of casts and didnt get any d-drops or visage. Now the point of this is that i spent 5m and got nothing except exp. In order to make profit one would have to have 85+mage and 24m in cash to spend on runes in order to have a decent chance at for sure getting a visage. (this is saying it would cost 2k per dragon)netting a 4m loss. So basically the only way to actually make money off a visage drop is if you get it at under 12k kills.. But there is hope! you could recieve a drop in your first kill! but that is highly unlikely.

p.s. my mage lv is 84 and i based my calculations on that

I agree with dragon drops, but if you range it with anti shield and antifire pots, they hit no damage so no food, just bring antifire pots and prayer pots (incase of melee combat), you make money off of rune drops.
