If you only want to sell in one big go, sell to a well known seller; or use player auctions.

Do you know if the risk of your account getting banned is fairly high? I'm only considering to deal with low amounts such as 100-300M?

Haha well there are members dealing huge amounts of gold, so you're just one in a thousand..

But since RWT related bans do occur, trade gold on a newbie account that has no value and maybe even through a proxy to keep your main accouts safe

157.65% of Sythe users are dumb enough to think putting they are legit in their signature convinces anyone, if you are one of 95.35% that will copy this into your signature, then you failed to see the point I was making.

Say for instance I bought 100M Gold of someone selling it, this is on one of my old accounts that I really don't even want anyhow - it's a ruined pure. If I accumulate an extra 200M, is it alright to sell it to a person direct or through a mule on a vpn?

If you want to sell gold be careful. People can simply charge back the payments on various websites such as paypal because they don't protect virtual good trades (has happened to me). Furthermore, keep note of every part of the trade. This includes taking pictures/recording of chat logs, trade, etc. When purchasing gold i recommend doing so by people that are well known in this site for selling gold.
Use your common sense. If they are pressuring you into going first, it is most likely a scam.
Middle mans are people that will often handle your transaction for you. There are OMM which often cost a fee and free MM looking for a reputation, such as myself.
The bans on runescape are not that high. Make a new account in which you can transfer the money onto your main, this is called a mule. That way there is no transaction between your important account and no risk of ban there in case the transaction goes wrong. Any other questions you can pm me and i'll be glad to help.
