Ok, so according to how combat levels will work in the new update (Evolution of Combat) will pures be obsolete?

From the RuneCast video I watched, one of the Mods said that pures wouldn't be affected too hard, but they could still function.

How would they function, when a maxed pure will have the same combat as a maxed main?

Well my thoughts and call me wrong if you like but I think that purrs will only be semi decent against other pures.

Those situations wouldn't be the same because pures generally try to keep one or two levels at a certain level and then continue on with the other. Like strength pures usually keep Attack and Defence at 40, so if they are going for 99 strength and having only that, then there is no possible way in the new system that a maxed main and maxed pure would both be level 200.

Maxed Pure is 2+99+1 = 102 Cb

Maxed Main is 2+99+99 = 200 Cb

Not the same combat.

It'll just be the same as it is currently, pures will fight other pures and they will be unaffected. The method you fight will be a little bit different but pures in no way will be terminated.

But defence and shield make a HUGE difference, if you played beta. You realise it to be the best at your combat level, you gotta max both attack and strength were as before 99att has no visible difference against 65 attack.

Just play beta, you will realise that defence plays a huge role now, and difference between a person with 99 def an 1 def is 9000 more hp.

Pures wont be the same level as maxed mains, the new combat system relies alot on defence, so a pure with level 1 defence, will be lower than a maxed main, but unless im remember what i read wrong, a tank with 99 defence will be close to if not the same level as a maxed main.

Ahh, ok. It seems I was misinformed regarding combat levels in the beta.

so my question is how many threads asking the same thing over and over again will there be? ....................... seriously guys the EoC is still in BETA its stilllllll up in the air, pures arent nerfed so far and more than likely wont be. It strikes me as weird that people dont read the rs homepage or look into it on the official forums before coming to a black market/fan site and looking for answers. Not trying to be rude theres just multiple threads with same stuff over and over
