Basicly this thread is for asking questions about the game, although i quit a few weeks ago, i've been on the game since about 3 months after release.

Ok I'll start you off with a serious related question .

Can you give me an in-depth description of how to merch with this new update

merching as in Big stocks big cash, long waits, or flipping? as both methods really havn't change since the begging of time.

your best bet would to start off flipping stable items, as 50m, isn't really enough to long term merch with.


Flipping is pretty common/easy for the most part, find a popular stable item, such as barrows/whips stuff like that, check the GE charts and look at its ups and downs, if it seems pretty stable its a simple princable, buy low sell high, see what the lower % you can buy instant for, and see the highest % you can sell instant for, and work from there.

alt if you wanted to be a little risky, try merching runes, you may only get a few gp rise but the more stock you buy the more you make.

Mind compiling a list of all the quests needed for an initiate pure. With all the stat requirements.

It's going to be a pure with 80 attack, 99 str, 99 range, 99 mage and 52 prayer + whatever summoning I reach before giving up

is it worth getting Curses if you only have 70 prayer?

I've actually recently started playing again, and I'm pretty much not even close to decently quested (76 QP, Monkey madness/DT only useable quests i've got done), my question is; what quests should I be looking to do that give decent items for a main?

not really, the quests are worth having done for some extra training areas but thats it, unless you want to get 71 for all the deflection prayers then no don't get curses, although even if you don't get turm, beserker prayer is rather nice if your not ovl'ing, plus the deflection prayers do help a bit for fighting with a few more damage back, its a pro/con, you wont get any boosting prayers, but you will get some aiding prayers. so ultimatly its up to you i would do it, just to have the quests done.

well if you say main, i asumme past 70 def etc?

i would do RFD to barrows
Void quests line
Curses quest line, temple of senn
legends
heros
the new fight cave one couldn't hurt for some good exp
death plat troll strong etc etc so you can get into GWD would help if you plan to boss fight.
lunar/fremmy quest chain.
theres plenty of quests, but for the most part those are the top ones that will get you items/new abilities.

If i think of anymore i'll update tomorrow, i gotta get some sleep, worked 10 hours today.

Which pure is preferable:

50/99/1 (99 range + mage)
60/90/1 (99 range + mage)

Also, what is preferable for either of the above two, DT completed + 13 prayer, or just 1 prayer.

And lastly, high hp or low hp?

well if your going to get 99 mage, you mind aswell do DT unless you plan on just TB'ing.

Attack level depends really on what type of pking you want to do, barrage to mual rush, or mage to d claws rush, i personally would want 60 att for a wider range of weapons, d scim for instance would give you the upper hand over just a gmualer.

the whole low hp/high hp thing has always been up for debate amongst pures... they want low hp for lower combat etc etc...


i look at it like this, your 1 def so why would you want low hp? thats just asking to get combo-koed, imho the higher the better.
