Default Farming Exp

So until now I have only trained my farming through Sorc Garden and lamps and now that there are few sorc garden bots that actually work I am going to have to do it legit. I have 16 farming and I really would like to get 50 as fast but as cheap as possible. What is the best way of training farming while staying on the cheap side?

Also, besides bursting rock lobsters and waterfiends what is the best way to get charms? 37 slayer by the way, current task is ghosts so I am not sure if they drop charms.

Thanks guys.

Ranging Wallasalkis, killing Dust Devils or Greater Demons or Shadow Warriors are all good charms (Wallasalkis being the best on the list, but most expensive).

As for Farming, trees and fruit trees are where the best XP is. Plant the best trees you can, and pay the farmer at the patch to look after them so they don't die.

EDIT: Fast and cheap don't go hand in hand with Farming. It is a rarely cheap skill in itself, the only way to make it cheaper would be to just use any lamps/quest reward XP on the skill.

Trees are the best exp! Although, they are 'costly'. If you want to go with the Cheap option do herbs, herbs are decent EXP an ÿøū make a decent profit too I suggest doing both, as the herbs will balance the cost of the trees! You will be 50 farm in not long!

Farming is easily the fastest skill in the game, as far as time put into 99. Planting 5 Magic Trees, 6 Palm Trees, and 1 Calquat Tree in one run yields well over 150k exp, and it takes about 8 minutes to do.

Granted, your exp/day is capped because you can't grind, but still levels 1 to 50 shouldn't be more than a few days at all.

Contrary to what people are saying, at low levels farming experience is cheap, and in some cases, profitable. At level 15, acorns can be planted for 467 xp at the seed cost of less than 50gp. Once you reach level 30 start planting willow trees (you pay 800gp for the seed and you yield 1.5k experience from it).

At level 27 start planting apple seeds in fruit tree patches for 1.2k xp/seed for a GE price of 5gp.

Just develop a farm run and do it once a day, every day.

I got over 30m farming experience on my main just by doing that.

Listen to Determinate's advice... I witnessed his 30m Farming experience. He even did a few runs for me on my main. He's a legend when it comes to Farming.

Determinate pinned it. You just need a farm that you can run max 5 times a day, and you'll be a 99 in no time.

He PM'd him how I used to do my farm run, but thought I might also post it here incase anyone else is interested.

Did it from memory, and the last time I've actually done a farm run was like a year ago... so yea.

Quote:
I'll try and do it from memory quickly.

Start lumbridge, do tree patch behind castle
Tele varrock, do tree patch in castle, run to spirit trees
Tree to gnome stronghold, do fruit and normal tree patch there, bank if required
Tree again to gnome maze, do fruit patch outside maze (let npc guide you)
Juju bag to herblore habitat, do fruit patch
Teleport to falador, do the tree patch, bank if required
Run to Taverly, do the tree patch
Teleport to Camelot, run to catherby, do the fruit patch, bank if required
Take boat to brimhaven, do the fruit patch
Tele to lletya if you have the crystal, and do the fruit patch

Also, if you want you can incorporate other elements of this run into your farming: http://ww2.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=862325

I'm almost 100% sure the fastest golds in the game at th momnet are cannoning Gelatinous Abomination in taverly slayer cave thing. Thats how the summon tanks get all theres but with out the cannon. I on my from scratch account got about 150 golds in 40 mins and its 30 attack 30 strength. So yeah thats an decent way and cheap too.
As for farming just do herbs and stuff profitable too... DON'T forget the super compost though!

Been mentioned before, but trees, you can keep a steady flow of xp and cash if you're doing tree+herb runs. I'm only 55 farming but I have made a lot of money from herbs.

In addition to ifh's guide, I would reccommend you to do woody trees and fruit trees too. For exp that is.
