Safe way to receive money?
well recently I've had problems with dickheads taking back their money through PayPal, as I've just opened a mills shop I need a way to safely trade with lesser trusted members without the risk of them scamming.
so, which things are safe? I've heard WU is good, post suggestions please.

Not even close.
If you're using paypal, have them use the gift option, this should stop them from charging back.

The person cannot dispute the Payment via PayPal if they have paid via the gift option.

In my opinion, Western Union is the safest way.

If it's a gift, they can not claim or cancel as it won't let you open it as a dispute.
When they send it as a gift, you should get a message/e-mail saying t was a gift.

Re: Safe way to receive money?
PayPal is worst thing to use while trading for anything, as paypal itself doesn't care about anyone. anyway , WU is wonderful , same as moneybookers ( for european traders ) also done several bank wire xfers , few mail trades .
So,once more, don't use safe and paypal in one sentance

I'd say receiving cash in the mail is the 'safest' way to go as far as not getting charged back, but then the other party will know your address.

It's worth it though in my opinion plus the some idiots take forever to claim and cancel this way they can skip that whole step!

not true, I don't know what it means but the guy sent me 6.50 USD as a gift (payment for mils) and now I'm -6.50 because it says it's being 'held' by PayPal under investigation or some shit. does that mean he disputed it and is getting it back?

Re: Safe way to receive money?
Western Union is defenetly the best way to go.
Its the method ive been using since 2007 when i made this account, Early in 2007 I sold my runescape account via PayPal - They did some sort of scam and recovered the money they sent me. I lost the account.
But we learn from that, ever since then ive been using Western Union and have found it is the best method. It might be risky, but for sending money to trusted sythe members and family, it is the best way to go!
Here is a link about Western Union and all the facts and fictions!
Hope i helped!
Complete guide to Western Union
Cheers!

There are many Anti-Scam guides floating around the User Education/ Black Market area that can help you out with scam prevention.
I strongly suggest you read this one, created by Nickslk92.

Mail or Western Union are probably your best bet. No refunds

They can't open a dispute either if you do claim and cancel. It's the same thing.
Either one warrants an unauthorized transaction. It is much safer to do claim and cancel and state that you are selling virtual goods. Seller always wins if you are selling virtual goods.

Yeah, Its the best way, but the person who you're sending too must be 100% trusted, at anytime he/she can scam, and you will NOT receive your money back. Thats not only for W.U and Mail, but also all methods of trading, including PayPal C&C...Trade at your own risk. Make sure the sythe user is trusted, read through his posts, vouches, make sure his vouches are real...etc.

Re: Safe way to receive money?
I have a pretty good way that I do, not sure if too many people know though.
It could get pretty annoying to repeat the steps but its less annoying then getting charged-back by shitheads all the time
1: Make a new email address
2: Make an Australian paypal account, reason for this is because your sending limit/receiving limit right off the bat is like 2grand
3: Have the buyer send it to your Australian account
4: Send the money from your Australian account to your real account
5: Cancel your Australian account
6: Repeat
Now you see why it can get annoying lol...The method should work it's always worked for me when I've done it.
Good luck, hope this helps.
Ps: You can use B.s account info on your paypal account, it might be a good idea to use a phone number that you actually have. Because paypal has called my friend once to verify a payment he sent me using that way. So if you use a real number, that should avoid any problems you might have with paypal freezing your account etc. . .
