The Future Of Botting?
Well, with the recent major banwave, what is there left to rely on, botting wise?
I know for a fact that RID is part of the future generation of botting, and that it is basically undetectable.
What bots is there except RID that we can use without getting banned?
Rsbots.net for instance used to be really good bots, but with Jagex's new detection measures none of the bots that read codes are safe (I can't remember the exact term for those bots)

Re: The Future Of Botting?
Rid and Simba are the only working bots at the moment. It's rare to get a ban from color bots

Re: The Future Of Botting?
RiD / SCAR / SIMBA. Take your pick, any other bots will very likely get you banned at the moment.

Re: The Future Of Botting?
Jagex doesn't have a new detection system for reflection bots... All the reflection bots are just broken.
Simba would be a good bot if their were more scripters/ a big community.

Reflection, in basic terms, would scan in-game objects that were in different object "lists". It was fairly easy to read, since everything was organized, so it was just a matter of saying something like "if this object is a tree of ID #, cut it down". What Jagex did was they placed all their objects into one single "list", so now all the IDs are mixed up. They're also shuffled...:P So, bots have no way of telling what's what, unless they manipulate visuals like Simba or RiD since those have to remain constant.
OpenGL bots will be the next big thing. They also manipulate visuals, but in an extraordinary way: they can tell what objects are what by examining the entire model instead of just bitmaps and points of color like current bots do. Those are currently being looked into by almost every RS community that has a solid programming background.

Yeah, I heard about those!
Looking forward to seeing what people come up with.
But wouldn't it be safe to say that reflection isn't going to be as safe as it used to be? After all, the majority of people banned in the latest banwave were users of Reflection bots.

Re: The Future Of Botting?
Where is there any mention of Opengl bots? I've searched google quite a few times without any luck.

It's also a forum for general private server / Runescape-related programming.
