For all of you who use Powerbot...
I'm not sure if this is fake or not, but I felt like I should share this anyway.
Discuss.
Even if it is fake, I still deleted all traces of Powerbot from my computer, and changed my accounts passwords just incase. I'd rather be safe than sorry.
P.S. This would include iDungeon Pro users because it uses the Powerbot client

I'm still going to use it, not executing the next update until I hear some feedback though.

I'd uninstall this immediately either way.
Cheers to OP

Re: For all of you who use Powerbot...
He'll probably try to put a trojan in it or something, which I can block. He'll also probably leak logs of all the usernames and passwords ever entered from Powerbot users.
I'm going to change my passwords, but I'm not worried about the actual virus he claims will be put in the download.

Yeah, and I doubt he's smart enough to program a virus to attack a Mac OS X operating system, so I think I should be safe from the virus itself as well

Re: For all of you who use Powerbot...
If I just use the current version on my computer and don't store any account info in it am I safe?
If not, what should I do?

Re: For all of you who use Powerbot...
Why now? I guess I'll still take the risk of using it tomorrow so I don't run off my schedule to getting 94 mage on a pure.

Re: For all of you who use Powerbot...
Nothing will happen IMO. Why would someone block out the LINK. That makes it super sketchy, seems like photoshop shit.

What? In what way does it make it sketchy at all?
Anyway,
Just take extra precaution guys, Every bot has a risk.
Might be a troll on Powerbot forum or someone with credible information.
Can't really tell but just be safe.

Why is absolutely everything blocked? Why didn't this 'messege' atleast keep the powerbot.org site at the top unblocked? Seems like someone java scripted or whatever they call it to change the words around. Also, anyone can create a replica of the site.
Anyway, the bot is open source, on april 5th look through the source.

Re: For all of you who use Powerbot...
Sorry to say, but EpicBot is so much more professional, runs smoother, AND it just came out a few months ago.
The fact you can only run the Scripts the creators base off f their time & suggestions may seem like a letdown when compared to RSBot, but it seems much safer that way.
It's still a site of a work in progress, and the progress is going GOOOOOOOOOOD.
Sorry PowerBot, ur done 4.
Welcome home EpicBot.

I've been to the Epicbot forums and it has one of the most immature userbases that I have ever seen. Just sayin'
