rwt bans in 2024

hello,

recently purchased a little less than 2b and was traded it directly at ge in a p2p world, cb level >80.

first time rwt'ing and am now super paranoid. this account has months of playtime, and was a lapse in judgement during a manic episode lol. i have not received either a warning nor a ban yet but can't help but think that I will get a perm ban somewhere down the line weeks or months from now, and have been scouring every part of the internet for hours everyday since.

is it true they sometimes do rwt bans in waves weeks after? was it dumb of me to do such a large amount in one go?

You will be fine dont worry about it

 

you get a warning / ban when they catch the seller usually if you don't get banned immediately. you are prob chillin tho and if anything happens you will only get a warning most likely

If you still have not received any form of punishment you can in my opinion assume you're safe.
However please do know that bans, either temp or perm, can happen any time you rwt.
You can decrease those odds by 1, avoid trading in a f2p world, avoid trading a low level account that looks like a bot or typical goldseller, avoid obscure places.

update: the account i traded with was perma banned a few days ago, now waiting for a ban to hit my account

 

I think jagex are way harder on sellers than buyers, again, good luck!

 

I feel like this is normal, and they probably don't have a life-long trade record they look at when the ban happens. It's probably more like the last day. These accounts are online 24/7 when they do this, so it could be over 50 individual transactions they carry out before the ban.

Jagex COULD track this, but remember... they make money from people buying bonds with RWT money. They intentionally don't bring down the hammer, because they would literally go out of business.
