My parents went away for the week, and I decided to stay back home and work to make some extra money during my spring break because I don't have much money.

Saturday I got a speeding ticket for going 53 in a 30, which could cost $200+ (my fault), and then today I was driving down a huge hill near my house going to the mall, and it was raining pretty hard, I hydroplaned down the hill and rear ended someone. Minimal damage, but I have court the day after my speeding ticket court date to pay fines and stuff, amount unknown.

I'm beyond pissed at myself. I didn't have money to begin with, and now I owe a ton.

Just a rant I guess..

The only really bright side is that a week ago I got a letter in the mail from the company that I work for, saying that there was a check that was written to me but never cashed when I first started there over 7 months ago, that I never even knew about...

They're mailing that to me now, it should be about $109, which is a good start. I have $550 in my bank account currently (will be $659 after that check), so I can pay everything off, I just don't want to be broke after.

P.S. I move back to Canada in 2 months, will the points on my license transfer to my Canadian license when I get one?

I don't know for sure, but I assume they'd transfer over yeah

Well dude for now it may seem everything is going bad but there will be better days also dont think to much about it , it just makes it worse . I will you the best of luck .

it's expensive being careless. 53 in a 30, i know (where i'm from) 15 above is reckless driving, If you don't want a speeding ticket don't speed. sounds stupid right. sounds like all you got is what has been given to you, the money you made you're just driving to the mall to spend it, there are going to be more life lessons up ahead.

I will have to say that yes it is stress to get a ticket but this not a big issue when there are more horrible problems out there. It happens to the best of us and most of the time when we do speed we get carried away to the point you don't think you will get caught. Then it happens right at that moment you don't expect. Just learn from this and move on. Try you best to either not go 5 over the speed limit or be careful not to get caught. Also I'd say almost all of us will be in a car accident in our lifetime whether it's small or big so remember you are not alone.
