Re: Sleeping Disorder
Is it because your dad is being loud, or because of your own sleeping habits? I would recommend medication that would help you sleep, but that should probably be a last resort. Give it some time, and if you can't fall asleep on your own, becomes a problem, you will probably need to see a doctor.

Re: Sleeping Disorder
If it is only happening for 2 days then you have nothing to worry about. It sounds like it is just a small episode of intermittent insomnia, which happens to just about everybody from time to time. It is also very possible that your dad is just being too noisy and waking you up when he leaves, my Dad often does the same as I can hear the dishes banging around and the coffee drip going.
I wouldn't worry about it if I were you unless it persists. If that happens then go see a doctor or drive down to the local health store and buy some natural melatonin pills. Melatonin is a natural chemical produced in your brain when you lie down in the dark to go to sleep, and taking it before bed helps you feel more rested when you wake up, and also helps you stay asleep for longer periods of time if you are like me and wake up constantly throughout the night.

Re: Sleeping Disorder
It's only 2 days so you have nothing to worry about.
Just try using ear plugs so you can't hear him get up/leave etc.
That should stop you waking up.

Re: Sleeping Disorder
If it continues to happen you have issues. Two days simple isnt enough for any real issue to be present.
But if you have issues falling asleep, then i promise 2000 mg vicodin well put you out if you shut your eyes
I know from personal experince.

Re: Sleeping Disorder
Like others have said, two days really isn't that bad.
However, if it does continue, just try to wear yourself out. It's possible you're just not tired anymore at 5a.m., so read a book, exercise, play a sport, or whatever. Can be mental or physical. If you're still waking up at odd hours/too early for the next two weeks or so, then it might be time to see a doctor and get their opinion.

Re: Sleeping Disorder
If the problem persists contact a medical professional, although for insomnia, the problem isn't severe until it becomes a daily occurrence.
I would however suggest herbals tea or ASMR, but never prescription drugs such as Vicodin. The potential for harm outweighs the benefits.

Re: Sleeping Disorder
i run my fan at night just to drown out some of the noise. My dad gets home from work at 1am my mom wakes up at 4. My mom turns on lights that don't have to be turned on and she leaves them on. -_- makes me angry but idk try turning on your bedroom fan at night see if it helps

Re: Sleeping Disorder
Just buy some ear plugs. You won't be able to hear a thing when you have them in. They are a bit of a pain to get in and sometimes fall out during the night, but you get used to them. If for some reason, you can't use them, then you can always try some Nyquil, Tylenol PM, or some other kind of sleeping aid such Unisom, Ambien, Lunesta, etc.
