Default Growing bored of WoW - Will Aion be a disapointment?

Hey so I have been playing World of Warcraft for a few years now and am becoming very bored with the content as they keep on dumbing down everything so that mentally deficient people can play (and there seems to be a lot of them)
I heard good things about Aion but am apprehensive towards buying it as I have a feeling I may be disappointed, any opinions from anyone who has shared the same experience or has a good knowledge of the game?

It's worth the buy.

Does it have anything distinctively appealing to it? Such as how WoW has a very competitive arena aspect, anything high risk to enjoy in the game?

Probably will disappoint... my friend said it's just one of those games where you need to grind HEAPS to get up levels and the community is a lot less than that of WoW.

Short answer, yes it will. I had the same problem, bored of wow after 3+ years. Bought Aion (huge mistake) it sucks hard.

I like how everyone on this forums bashes Aion... It isn't a shitty game i played it till 50 it was a great epic game doing huge siege battles in the pvp zone and such it was great very fun if you have a guild as well.

it is a time consuming game and it does take along time to level but it is a long term game so if you don't have the time it isn't for you.

and if you got bored before level 10 no wonder you never left the noob zone lmao.

also 1-10 isn't slow you can get through it in about 1-2 hours if you do the quests... not just grind the whole time... but you have no idea what slow is once you get in the 40's..... but i stopped questing around there besides the ones that gave really good gear.

Honestly, you will probably like it for a few weeks, but you eventually get bored of the grinding.

I hate grinding with a passion -.-
Too bad all the new MMOs these days are based on grinding, would be interesting to see one not based on this

Not to beat a dead horse, but it'll impress you for the first week or two then something will change in your perspective. The fun just kinda drops off when you hit level 20, almost like they clearly just stopped trying.
