Hey guys. So I've read up on a few threads, watched a few videos, etc, but still aren't quite sure about this game since the feedback is fairly mixed.

I've played a lot of WoW, but over the last couple years my fondness of the game has dwindled. I've been off and on a lot, and mainly this year I haven't played much at all since college has strapped me for cash...There has been times where I've wanted to come back, but couldn't lol

Anyway, once April comes around and school finished, I'll have money for a monthly MMO again and just want to know what you like about this game.

What makes it so different from other MMOs?
What sold you into playing it as opposed to something like WoW or Aion?

The thing that attracted me was lightsabers.
Also, the different classes have different class quests. It's not narrowed down into 1.

Most MMO (my POV) doesn't offer the feature like SWTOR, where you click which answer you want and you get companion's affection or lose them. Correct me if I'm wrong here.

PvP in SWTOR is also different, instead of just PVP itself, you have Huttball, Capturing the nodes(Alderaan Civil War) and Planting bombs(The Voidstar). I'm mainly a PvP MMO guy, hence why I was attracted to this game.

Upcoming updates states there will be Ranked PvP in early March. That's one main reason why I would stay with SWTOR rather than moving to another MMO.

I love the fact that while core gameplay might be similar between classes (Sith Warrior and Jedi Knight, etc) each class has a completely different story. SWTOR has the best cinematics when talking to quest givers, and you have the ability to choose what you want to say. The MMORPG I know that has cinematics/speech choices is Age of Conan, but is no where as good as SWTOR. To add to that idea, you can choose things that affect your future directly, and with a light/dark meter, it gets you a lot more involved in the story. Plus, you have companions which is like your own questing partner who adds a lot to the story. PvP is fun and all, but my server has shitty Republic side PvP players. You also have things like heroics/flashpoints, commendations, speeders (which are way cooler than armored horses) and a lot of other things. Sorry if this post wasn't wrote well, it's 1:10AM where I'm at and I've been working on a project for the past 6 hours so I tried my best to give my opinion.

TL;DR
Get SWTOR. Best MMORPG out in my opinion. And play on my server :P
