I heard Avatar was a spectacular film. Though I heard that even though the graphics and special effects were great, the storyline wasn't all that good. Any opinions?

Storyline was rubbish in my opinion. Special effects and graphics were astounding though If you want a movie with a crappy storyline but awesome graphics, Avatar's your best bet.

I quite liked the storyline. The movie dragged on a bit though.

My computer science teacher made a comment. "If a movie has a great storyline, it most likely doesn't have to good of special effects. If a movie has great special effects, it most likely has a bad storyline."

Do you guys agree?

I disagree. Look at Lord of the Rings and Star Wars.

I still have yet to see it but as far as that comment about story lines and effects, i disagree....There are alot of great storylined movies with good effects, look at the aged Titanic, great story line with great effects (at the time.)

Ah I see. I was looking to more modern films though but I do see where you are coming from.
