Anyone seen the pictures of "Snow Golems" in 1.9? They are basically snowman >.<

Any thoughts on what role they might play?

Probably throw snowballs at you, which will hurt (in winter areas).

And you have to throw snowballs (purposing the snowballs) back at them to kill them...?

They call this a golem? This looks like the neighborhood snowmen I kick down in the winter ;-;
Should be a good update though in all, I wonder what they decided to do with the enderman pearls....

hehe, I know that Notch is editing the Endermen so they don't remove blocks anymore as he realized what a terrible idea it was as soon as people started playing it.

LOLed when I saw that picture. They will probably be passive mobs in snow biodomes.

And yeah its getting pretty aggravating, especially in single player when i accidentally turn and look at one.

I like the fact that they're passive unless you look at them, I wish it'd work in multiplayer. It gives a new dimensions to the game, sort of scary, something that makes you think MORE about what you're doing constantly when you're wandering around at night instead of just avoiding (or chasing) zombie moans, and side stepping when trying to kill or escape skeletons....

Hard to explain, but tl;dr adds more depth

Indeeed, I think Endermen will work properly in 1.10 and above, it will be fun seeing other players get chased around by Endermen at night.

Well technically there is no "1.10" it will go from 1.9 to 2 which will probably be the full release.

OT: Who else thinks they will be passive? I doubt they will have any danger considering they are made of snow.

It's currently at 0.1.9, it's just called 1.9 because they drop the first zero in favor of the word "beta"

So Beta 1.9 = 0.1.9
Therefore, Beta 2.0 = 0.2.0

I have a feeling this will never leave beta stage for another few years at least

They are making an xbox version of the game that is coming around christmas I believe.

Yes, I also heard rumors on Mojang MAYBE making a Minecraft for the PS3, however this is just a rumor and I can't confirm this.

I highly doubt this considering the special deal microsoft and mojang made.
