If I insist, isn't the term 'Vert' associated with a electronic music producer in the United Kingdom? It seemed to fit well as you state you play the bass guitar and many people base their user names, in which they find interesting, that associate of their 'liking' kind. :]

I got the name Verts, as I suffer from vertigo. Vertigo301 became my username on RuneScape. When I joined the IRC, it was shortened to Verts. Name just sorta stuck I guess.
