Default Elo Hell

Does it exist?

I think it does. I was at 1250 elo, then dropped rapidly to 900's. Every single game below 1200 has some sort of troll in it. It irritates the fuck out of me.

It does exist for two reasons one being that ELO is a terrible system for LoL, the second is people refusing to look internally to improve but rather blame everyone else for losing.

As long as you try to improve every game you will eventually get out of ELO hell.

To go more indepth into the first point ELO is a system for chess rankings which is a single player game with only your actions affecting the outcome and both sides are equal at the start (slight imbalance to white). LoL is a team game where you can lose even if you personally play perfectly and both teams are not equal, and the terrain isn't equal either, Top has to ward two places in order to be safe from a gank if you are on the top spawn, while the bottom spawn doesn't and bottom lane for bottom spawn needs two wards, however bottom lane is 2 people in the current metagame which means you can evenly distribute the extra cost (75g/3 minutes) over 2 people where as top lane needs to front this out themselves which can be a big deal early on.

So ELO is actually a very poor system for LoL in its current implementation.

As stated it does exist, the only way to get out of it is to carry ever game and honestly as much as this is looked down on in higher elo games just forget your team and carry the game. If you're really better than the elo you're put in then you should be able to carry 80% of the games. (Note, only do this if you believe the elo group you're in isn't right for you.

Even if it is 1 possible troll less, it is still a shitty ratio.

The highest ELO ive ever reached by myself was some where in the 1400's but with an arranged team ive been upto 1600s before.

The reason i quit is simply because you have to be reliant on the people you play with and when you get some unskilled 12 year old kid on your team it doesn't help.

THIS.

People are confused as to what exactly ELO Hell really is. ELO Hell is where people are unaware of WHY they lost, what little things they did to not help win and aren't able to improve on those mistakes.

I think deaths is what people should focus on. Deaths are mistakes you've done. Just find out what went wrong, and don't repeat it.
