Dominion, Competitive?
What is the Sythe community's views on dominion? Do you think it has potential to make it to the competitive scene? In my honest opinion, I think it has great potential to be a great competitive objective-type playlist. Although, as of right now it's mostly random fights and captures, I believe it will get fixed a bit and then make it to the competitive scene.
Thoughts?

It's fun time to time when I just want to quickly get a bunch of kills with akali. But the majority of the time I don't even bother with it when I could be playing summoners rift.

SR takes too long... It usually takes twice or sometimes even three times the amount of time as compared to dominion.. Not to mention if you have a team that's not good it's 45-60 minutes of your time gone down the drain. I haven't played ranked yet I'm still pretty new to the game. Dominion has potential in my opinion, not to mention it's relatively new so there's room for improvement.

Re: Dominion, Competitive?
Dominion is ok if your bored or don't have enough time for a 5v5 but a victory just doesn't feel as good as it does in a 5v5. There is definatly potential for the competitive side of it but the reason that people started LoL is for the dota play style so I don't think dominion will ever be as popular.

I like dominion because it's easy IP, fast paced, and keeps you on your toes. Don't get me wrong, I'll always love the classic 5v5, but dominion comes close to it in my opinion.

Re: Dominion, Competitive?
Never liked it. I wouldn't call it very competitive at all, especially compared to standard play.

Re: Dominion, Competitive?
The problem with Dominion is that it has no depth of gameplay and there's only a handful of champions that work well on the map. Champions are also balanced around Summoner's Rift, not Dominion, which is why the other map (Twisted Treeline) is a joke. It would never work competitively.

Re: Dominion, Competitive?
I really enjoy this game, although only certain champions seem to excel on it. However, as the game is fairly fast paced, it presents opportunity for players to test out champions before playing in normal/ranked matches, while still earning a nice chunk of IP.

They are coming out with ranked Dominion in a couple of months. I read on the forums that they are going to fix it up a bit and let players get ready for ranked. I do agree though there's a few characters that are OP to the max on dominion. Usually great damage dealers like Annie, Ryze and Karthus. I personally use Karthus as he is a good defender, and deals a ton of damage.

Will never make an impact on the competitive scene.
