Tips for New Players?
Just started out playing LoL these last 1-2 weeks, reached level 12 on main then realised i've wasted most my IP on stupid purchases
What is the best method, save up IP? buy starter runes? Champions to buy first? currently level 5 help would be nice lol

Re: Tips for New Players?
Don't bother with tier 2 runes
Feel free to buy tier 1 runes that suit your champions, but don't spend too much, you may want to buy your own champs :P

Re: Tips for New Players?
Find a champion you like to play, or a champion that's OP. Save up your ip to buy a champion you want, and buy the whole rune set when your lvling through 20-30. Look at guides @ solomid.net

You can't just play too defensively
Maybe you should try watching top tier player's stream. Go to own3d.tv, and just watch them play. You'll learn some stuff and be able to apply it in your own games.

Nah, there's never really too defensive so long as you mix some aggro.
Don't buy ANY runes until tier 3. It's a waste of IP, and tbh, you shouldn't be using much IP to spend on champs. Try the free week champs out so you can feel what type of champs you'd like to play. IP is mainly suppose to be for runes. If you wanna buy a champ, try using RP.

Re: Tips for New Players?
Don't listen to the buy runes people.
SPEND YOUR IP ON CHAMPIONS UNTIL YOUR LVL 30
that way you can find the champion you like the most. Also it's way more fun to mix up different champions.
I've played about 400 normal games and I've only been the same champion about 4 times in a row.

Re: Tips for New Players?
I seem to be favouriting the spell casters, eg veigar, Karthus etc.. seems to suit my playstyle ..

Re: Tips for New Players?
My suggestion is you play some of the free characters to see what style of game play you like. Either ranged ad or upfront melee ad, or even range caster characters or close up what ever. Once you find someone you feel some what comfortable playing just start saving all your IP until you reach Lvl 20, that is when you start buying the most beneficial runes to fit your style of game play. If you're going to spend IP before you reach lvl 20 spend it on characters rather then runes.

Watching streams is always good. Pay attention to CSing, map awareness and game mechanics.

Re: Tips for New Players?
Learn the basics like how to lane and last hit.
Force yourself to play different champions.
Helps you play against those champs because you've already played them and know a little about them.
It'll also help you find a champion that you like.

Re: Tips for New Players?
Don't buy any runes until you hit level 20. No reason to waste IP on anything other than tier 3 runes and new champions you may want to play.
