Tanks are a dying meta. Tanky dps is superior, because unlike full tanks they can tank + run through and target the squishy.
As far as full on tanks go I would say that it's a mix between MUMU / Singed.

Galio is the secret OP. He is capable of good harass early game, can farm well, is able to support his team with his speed boost from his E, slow others with his Q and provide teammates with a butt-load of MR/Armor at will with Bulwark.
Then there's his ult. It's completely game changing. End game, one good ult can buy you a win.

Possibly if you were good at Galio, recently I went 1v1 in a 3s with Galio and I kept him out of XP range nearly the entire laning phase |

I use to be mad sick with taric before his ultimate became some stupid 60 second cool down thing. The point was to use it in small doses to help the team, like with tower diving.
But other then that id say Ramus.
A fun trick is taunt and then roll away with the ball to get them running a full taunt distance.

That is a joke. They have no base defense without runes and items.
Amumu is the best tank for sure. If you say hes not thats because either you havent seen him played to his full potential.

The 'best' tank is Amumu, if you look at it from the point of view of which tank gets banned the most in ranked. My favourite tank to play is Amumu, also. But if you're looking for pure tanky-ness in terms of stats, Rammus has the highest tanking stats.

I'd say Singed. I don't consider Amumu a tank as he can't really draw focus, he's more of a one ulti kind of guy that just rips teams apart. Singed on the other hand is an annoying kite that pisses you off so much that you just decide to leave the Annie alone and go after his kiting tank ass.

It depends on what qualities you deem "best". Overall, Amumu has the most at his disposal, but he definitely is not the most potent tank. I'd say Taric, Alistar, and maybe even Singed can actually tank better than Amumu, but they cannot deal the amount of DPS that Amumu can.
