High School Election Speech ideas?
I need ideas on how to make my campaign speech in front of all of my classmates funny and awesome enough to get enough votes to win. Any ideas?

Most speeches are just lies, but if you actually tell the truth in yours you'll do fine. Are you popular? If you're popular it'll be a breeze - if not; how many more people are running? What grade are you in? Just state the things that THEY'D want. Not what the teachers/select board, etc. would want. Tell them all this stuff, more field trips, etc.

I'm pretty popular, but the problem is, I'm running against 2 other really popular people which really complicates things. :/

AND DEMOCRATION! its just silly, be specific and normal.

Ah, well just try stating on what they like. Don't bribe them though, that's always leading to chaos.

I agree, do something along the lines of Obama's change speech. Just dont make it too serious.

Re: High School Election Speech ideas?
Haha I remember doing this. I won but I totally cheated. I just gave out candy and pretty much bribed the people. I was already fairly popular though so it wasn't that bad. I never ran again though because I hated it.
Any way though. If your already liked by most people and there isn't some one else who is more popular running then you pretty much have it. The whole thing is a big popularity contest. If you can't use that to win and your not naturally funny then just try to be helpful, friendly and don't lie. If you say your going to do all these crazy things for your class actually get up and do them. To many people promise crazy things and never go through with it.

Yeah, stay realistic. Make it short, yet effective. Don't make false promises. Be confident.

Re: High School Election Speech ideas?
Walk up in there with a suit on, most importantly.
Calmly walk up to the podium. Make sure your tie is straight, and the say with enthusiasm,
"YO YO YO MOTHAFUCKAAAAZ, I'm bout to be yo bitchin' new prez. And when I am we bout to change some shit in here. I'm talkin' use of cellphones, chewin' gum, more bathroom breaks and if you sleepin' the teacher cant wake yo ass up"
"Homework? Mannnnnn we got shit to do today. Don't even bother doin' that shit"
If you can get all of that out before you get in trouble I promise everyone will love you forever.
But in all seriousness, take polls and shit like that at lunch and find out what people want. Focus on changing things and getting better funding for clubs and finding ways to introduce new field trips and shit.

Re: High School Election Speech ideas?
Give your schoolmates what they want, from a fun perspective.
High school elections are really just a cover up for the most popular guy. Find out what the kids in your school want, and promise more of that.
For the most part if you give a speech on improving their academics, you'll win points from teachers, but no one's going to vote for you. If you promise them more time off school, etc. Then your more likely to get more votes, so long as you don't offer something stupid.
