Long story short, paypal emailed me saying they are going to close my account because I am a security risk. Its a verified paypal with a bank account, $-64 and 15 disputes. My questions are

1.How long does it usually take them to close it?
2.If they close it, are they going to give all the money from the disputes back to the people?
3.Will I be able to make a new account with the same information?

A couple weeks is generally the time they take to close it. The money from the disputes will go to the person they decide should win the dispute.
And no, if you make another account with the same information they will close it as well.

But I didn't make the disputes. Paypal did. They put my last 15 transactions on "hold" and right now they are waiting for sellers response. I really dont know why they put them on hold. Are you positive they will close my account if I use the same information, you're saying I can never make a paypal account with real information again?

And Paypal will basically investigate those transactions and decide whether or not they want to return their money (which is probably going to happen).

Can you give me proof about the making a new paypal question?

and for the disputes.

Its me sending money to them, if the seller doesnt respond, what is their to investigate?

In my experience even if both parties respond, unless you can provide proof of an actual item be sold, the money will usually be reversed back into the senders account.

so its going to go to my account (Im the buyer), when they limited and are going to close it. lol??????

edit: skele do you know anything about the making a new paypal with the same information is it going to get auto closed?

If it's a virtual item, then most likely yes.

If you make another Paypal, then you'll have to change every bit of information, clear out your cookies, change IP's, etc..

EXACTLY the same hapenned to me yesterday. Was about to open up a new thread but no point. In my case there are 3 disputes from the same guy who made an unauthorised claim. My business is now limited to money bookers and western union only because some sad pixel hugging kid decided to scam me for 20m runescape gp. How sad can you actually get.


Btw guys i got a question, if they close your account, can i withdraw my money in the account? The account has about 110 worth of usd even if the fucker who claimed gets his money back.

I guess you mean that your account has a limitation?
In that case.. you cant send/receive/withdraw money on that account.
You have to wait for 180 days, or remove the limitation by provide them with the information they ask for.

well I called them,

1.The 15 investigations paypal filed should be done within a week if there are no complications, once they solve everything if I have a positive balance, paypal will offer me some way to withdraw the funds. (unless its via paypal, im fucked.)

2.Yes they are closing my account, I can still make another account with the same information but there is a high chance it will get limited.

I guess I have to do trade on my UK paypal now.

I cant provide info to unlimit because when I go to "Remove limitation" it takes me to a transaction paypal is reviewing.
