Default Need to uninstall Ubuntu

I don't know WHY I installed it in the first place. It seemed really cool and all, but I just got tired of it. It can't run anything I want. Anyways, I need to know how to uninstall it SAFELY. I searched on google a bit, but it said if I delete my partitions it will delete grub (pretty sure thats what ubuntu uses to boot off of, but windows uses it too now) and I won't be able to boot into windows. I had vista first but then I upgraded to windows 7 using the upgrade disk. The tutorial said I need a installation disk which I don't have (unless the upgrade = installation disk). So please help me.
-------------------------
Ok so I reinstalled MBR using EasyBCD. Then I deleted my partition, and rebooted. I don't have grub anymore and I automaticly boot into windows.
K now I have 111GB free space. How can I put that back into my original thing? Like so I about 300gb space like it was when I first installed windows 7.

Um, are you using two different harddrives or two separate partitions to dual boot?

I believe it isn't possible to run both linux and windows or ANY os on one partition.

All you would have to do is format one specific partition / hard drive and leave the other one on there.

I'm no linux expert, but if i'm wrong(on the separate partitions or separate hard drives) let me know and i'll research this more thoroughly when i've the time.

Ok used the Ubuntu installtion disk and it created partitions. It didn't let me format them, so I clicked delete volume. Now it says free space.
I want that freespace to go with my C drive and make it back to normal.

You can use windows 7 to edit partitions using system tools / administration tools.

I'd go into details but I do not have much time. This, however, will put you into the proper direction and if you have any questions i'll be more than happy to help you later on when i get the chance.

You can use the same tool to merge partitions. Also, i'm not talking about booting to the windows CD either.

I know you can merge partitions using that SAME tool.

HOWEVER, are you positive you just don't have two Hard drives? Sorry if it sounds like a dumb question, but I have no idea on how knowledgeable you are on computers.

I don't have 2 hard drives, haha. Well now that it's free space it should let me expend when I right click on C but it doesn't let me. Grave team viewed me and he couldn't get it.
I can make a new volume (or partition, I don't really know) with a letter like F and I can have like 2 volumes (or partitions, I don't really know) and store some files in there but I much rather just make my C drive bigger.

Doesn't give me option to do that. For the free space it gives me options of either deleting (then it says it's an extended partition and cannot be delete because there's not enough space), and an option of creating a new simple volume. For my C drive, it doesn't give an option for formatting. Only properties, shrink volume, and change letter or path.

Sorry for the waste of time, but after reviewing this i beleive your only option is to backup your c drive, format/ delete all partitions to merge em together, then restore your c drive to the full partition.

Sorry, lol. This will take some time but if you feel its worth it then all. The power to you

Ugh so this means using the windows installation disks?
Anybody know if there is an alternative?

What you need is a bootable CD or Floppy. If you have a windows operating system, go make a boot disk in control panel and boot your pc with that. then you can format your pc using the floppy disk.

That's only if the issue is not having a windows CD. Other than that there's not much you can do.

I had a very similar issue a few months back, I think. I installed XP alongside my Win7, and it fucked up the partitions somehow. I don't remember exactly what happened, only that it changed the partition that I had XP on and made it so that after I formatted that partition, I couldn't add it to my C: drive. There was an issue with one partition being the system drive, and one partition being the primary drive. It's hard to explain (and this might not even be related to your issue, but it sounds a lot like my problem) but after a few days of messing with it and trying everything I could think of + everything I found online, I had to backup my C: drive and reformat my entire hard drive, like 1234567asdf said. It sucks, but I think that might be your only option.

If you need instructions on reformatting I'm happy to help.

Yeah, it'll be one awful afternoon but it's mostly automated and rather easy.

I had vista on this before, then i got the windows 7 upgrade disks and I installed windows 7 from there. Would I use the windows 7 disks to reformat?

It will definitely work to reformat. So go ahead and try it. Then if you get any errors using the seven upgrade disc use the vista disc first then do the seven. Again, time consuming but if there is anything i have learned from experience in this field is to do things right the first time.

Let me try that.

EDIT: It's like over 2gb is it worth downloading? If windows can't do it why should gparted be able to?

How about just use the partition as a separate drive. Seems like it would be more efficient than re-installing everything...
