That had nothing to do with the topic...

erm, yes it did, he meant 'dont play pokemon, play shooters', as in the 'Shooter' genre of games.

The game is actually very fun, one of my favorites out of the newer ones, as I didn't care much for DP. All the ones before then, I will always love.

You should really get B or W though, the storyline is really good.

No, it had nothing to do with this topic. If i was looking to play shooter games, i would have posted in the shooter section..

Thanks. I'm gonna try it out on an emulator.
What is the best starter?

I'd get it just to have it if you know what I mean. I've really taken a liking to the original Pokemon games (On Game Boy Color) so I haven't played it much, but it does seem like a very good game. I just don't feel like learning another 150 or however many pokemon they made for the game.

Yeah, i'm with you man. The only problem is if I buy it, i'd probably have to buy SoulSilver and learn from there.
I might just buy pokemon yellow tbh. Been looking at it for a while, if i find my original gbc, i'll probably buy it.
But i'm still wanting to hear other peoples' opinions on pokemon black

Personally I would get Soul Silver/Heart Gold before getting Black/White. I have a couple friends that own them and they say White/Black are very good. I prefer the older games, so I would go for the sequel.

Definitely prefer the older generations, however, Black/White still offered some refreshing entertainment. There's some new features such as the C-Gear(amusing to use in public places such as school because it compiles a list of people playing pokemon you have gone within range of), and the Dream World which I have yet to try out.

Oh, and the graphics have slightly improved, and triple battles have been added

Sounds actually kinda cool, but really no one in my school plays pokemon
Triple battles like 3v3?

I have both White and Black version, as well as heart gold. Heart gold is cool, I enjoyed it because I grew up without experiencing and R/B/Y or G/S/C games and didn't even have the system to play it on. Black and White are great, I myself am not a fan of the storyline, but I like it for RNGing since its pretty easy. Also, the version exclusives on pokemon White tend to be more favorable than those on Black, aside from the legendary dragon you get, which is a 50/50 case from what I've seen. Hope I helped.
