Render optimalization:
Work with your color curves and contrast to make the render look as good as possible.

Background:
Fill in the background with your render, turn and resize it so it's all over.

3(optional)
Add textures, or C4D's on the mode substract or overlay.

Add C4D's in the corners or on the canvas if u like.

Darken the background and add in your main render/character.

Add lightsource(s)!
This time i used some brushes, and lighting on the eyes. but you can put the lightsource where ever you want.

Adjust your render to the lightsource, as it would be if there really was light. I'll try and make a tutorial on that soon.

Add borders or text if you want to.

This is decent if you have never made a signature before, but it lacks any real teaching of the foundations of tagging.

It's an okay tutorial. For its intended audience though (beginners) it's not that great. It doesn't show how to do adjustment layers such as levels/curves and how to do really anything, it just tells them to do it if ya know what I mean.
You should also cover bluring/burning etc I think, they are the most basic ways to make a render blend and have a light source.

Also - requested this be moved to the Tutorial section

I agree with nero. You don't learn much from this tutorial besides telling them what to do without proper instructions. Telling a beginner to adjust to the lightsource without adding light to it, is like telling a baby to walk when it's crawling.

It's alright, but the text placement is not good. For any beginners out there, don't put text on the sides of your tags. This distracts the focal [render] and drops the attention of the tag itself.

and as you can see at the top there is a verson without text
and i never stated you have to have text. it clearly says. if you want to.
another thing. if you're recent work is that in ur sig. don't bother giving ratings rofl

You couldn't make anything near as good if I gave you the resources I used. This is a bad tutorial for beginners.
