First, you Open up Cinema 4D. When you are there, click Mograph>MoText.

This will come up, change the text to whatever you like.

You will see a box in the lower right side, look at that. Depth is how long it is. You don't need to worry about anything but Depth and the Font.

Change whatever you want. This is where you experiment to your liking.

This is what you should have now. If you don't redo what you just did or find what you did wrong.

To Preview what you made, click the box with the orange circle around it.
Now that came out really good.

On to part two: Coloring the Text
In the lower left hand corner you will find a dialog saying "Materials". Click Files>New Material.

You will see a sphere below. Double Click it and change the settings to this. (you can change the colors)

Click Render.
Good job! Time to work on part 3: Adding Lighting!
Click the white circle under "Window".

You will see a little star appear, move it in front of your text.

Time to render one last time!
Congratulations! You now have made 3D text in Cinema 4D!
