for their favorite submissions. Voting will automatically
end Friday, 11:59PM. Please make sure that your
votes are not given to the user, but rather
to the graphic based on a few of the following GFX
concepts provided below.

Signatures must exhibit:
Clear and accurate representation of the SS theme
Skill in the use of graphic-designing programs
Artistic elements that are aesthetically executed
Decent use of time, and a proper dedication to GFX designing
Originality in its design, rather than a ripped or stolen concept
Obedience to any technical or graphical restriction

SS#1 criteria was as follows:

â€¢ Freestyle theme
â€¢ Text is allowed, but signatures may not contain usernames

Please note that begging or bribing for votes will result in your immediate disqualification. Discussion is allowed in this thread pertaining only to the designs submitted and the competition itself. I encourage all voters to post a reason they voted for the signature, but this is not required for your vote to count. Anything further will be considered spam, and will be deleted by the presiding moderator. In order to vote, you need only check the appropriate radio button in the poll provided at the top of the thread, and click "Submit". Once you enter your vote, you may not retract nor change your mind, so consider carefully who you think deserves to win, ensure you've selected the proper radio button, and vote away. If you have a question as to why your signature was not included in this week's voting, PM the presiding moderator rather than post about it here, it could either be due to disqualification or because the moderator forgot to include it. If it's the former, the moderator will explain; the latter and the moderator will be able to fix it. Voting will end automatically on Friday at 11:59PM, please make sure you leave plenty of time to allow yourself to vote accurately. When the voting is over, the winner should expect his/her prize to be delivered no later than Saturday night. The gold will be delivered over RuneScape at Lumbridge in any World the winner finds convenient. The presiding moderator will contact the winner over PM with their contact information, including their RuneScape display name, the trade location, and MSN if any further contact is necessary.

Pretty much between 1 & 3. 2 Lacked stable lighting and is very monotone. It could have been a better piece if those errors were fixed.

As for 1, the lighting is once again not being used to their advantage. There's tons of light sources, but no real light being exposed. I love the way the focal is being hidden as well. Makes it look one with the piece, however it kind of lacks composition which the 3rd piece have.

The 3rd piece is pretty much the same thing with the other two, but the way it's being conveyed makes it awesome and because of that it gets my vote.

Also why did I not know about this? I wanted to enter a piece.

The first one has a seriously bad case of floating head syndrome and over-whoring of effects. It lacks any real lighting and looks extremely flat. Why is everything so sharp in it?

The second one is very monotone and also looks really flat because all of the effects look like someone brushed it all over with a softbrush.

I voted number 1. Despite the above mentioned shortcomings, I think it's fun to look past that and look at her as built into the backgrounds. If you look, you can imagine the gear directly below the flap in her hat is her shoulder and the machinary below her can looks a lot like her torso. Plus I really liked the text.

The only thing I would have suggested is blurring for the tiniest bit of depth, but no matter.

I guess, but regardless it looks a bit overdone and there is lack of composition. Which is very important in any piece. ^^

I had to decide between 1, 2, and 3 as it was a rather hard choice. I ended up ruling out 2 because the lighting was a little dull, and tossed between 1 and 3.

I chose the pokemon one. The smudging is near perfect. I love the lighting on it aswell.

I've voted for #3. It's blended extremely well, and it looks amazing. I also love how simple it is, rather than adding flashy effects.

in order to have your opinion, suggestion, or feedback heard and answered on the Signature Saturday contest! Suggest themes, give feedback on how it's ran, speak your mind! I think it would greatly improve the quality of the contest if you guys offer up your feedback!

Number four was made using a program that graphs your mouse movement I.e. no actual work was put into it.

I voted for number three. I liked the "glow" on the pokeball.
