I've removed it, if still the same happens, then it means that it is not possible. Then I suggest to get a bigger avatar.

Honestly had not noticed this before. I suppose it is fairly unprofessional for someone checking your profile, otherwise it's not too big of a deal imho. As long as it displays correctly in your posts it should be fine.

As far as I am aware this is the case for all transparent avatars - making a border to your liking would amend that.

You can either change the border value or edit the color code to fit the background.
