I'm disappointed in teenagers.
This was one of my friends from school. Such a shame. Search up his full name and you'll find links to the arrested kids. One 13-year old, and one 14-year old. What happened to riding your bikes and playing video games at 14? Now we're onto killing innocent kids?

Elk Grove police are investigating why a 14-year-old boy in Elk Grove collapsed and died early today while walking home from a party.
The teen was found lying on a front lawn in the 8600 block of Heritage Hill Drive just after midnight, according to Officer Christopher Trim, police spokesman.
The boy was transported to Methodist Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 1:09 a.m., according to the Sacramento County Coroner's Office. The teen was identified as Ronald Tre Kenoly, officials said.
Witnesses said the teen was confronted by two people just before he collapsed. Police are awaiting results from an autopsy today by the coroner's office to determine whether that encounter was related to the teen's death.
Trim said there were no obvious signs of trauma. "We don't know if it's a criminal thing or a medical thing," Trim said."So we're still figuring that out."
Anyone with information is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department

Re: I'm disappointed in teenagers.
Is it so wrong to party? This is a party age. And it didn't say anything about alcohol. If he was drinking, he was walking home. I don't see anything wrong against teens in this article.

Oh my god. Could you please read the post?
Two teenagers killed him. He was NOT drunk, or under the influence of drugs. Just some teenagers whose minds were set on killing.

Re: I'm disappointed in teenagers.
Why was a 14 year old walking home alone at midnight? I'm disappointed with the parents.

He had a ride, but his ride ditched him (Dick move, now they feel like shit..)
It wasn't the parents fault... You're parents NEVER let you stay out late? Oh, of course not. You're the perfect child home before dark.

Debatable, but still. Teenagers that young shouldn't be out killing people, either. We should be able to be outside ANY time of the day and feel safe.

Re: I'm disappointed in teenagers.
Depends where people live, if it is a close safe coexisting place then i feel it is fine. But if it is the streets of any other place, then i dont feel it's right for them to be walking alone.

Re: I'm disappointed in teenagers.
Police can't be patroling the streets 24 hours a day down every street. They have enough to cope with all ready and there is a huge shortage of police if that is what you want.

The 13-year-old suspect, who has not been identified because of his age, turned himself in to Sacramento Juvenile Hall on Friday night. The young boy was wanted in connection with the homicide of 14-year-old Ronald Kenoly, who died after an alleged confrontation with two teens early Sunday morning.

Clues led detectives to the arrest of a 14-year-old on June 18, who they say, was involved in the homicide, says the Elk Grove Police Department.

I agree that police should be out there more but they can't be there all the time. And i don't think they would have seen it. it happened too fast.
And you can never feel safe anywhere these days except your own home..

These days, you're not always safe in your home either.
But I'd appreciate it if you guys didn't question EVERY god damn thing, this is a tragic event either way, and I was friends with Tre. So I'm not in a very good mood.

When I was 14 and the large majority of my friends couldn't drive, my parents would pick me up. Nowadays I have my license. If I lost my ride(even now), I wouldn't go walking home by myself at midnight. You're offering yourself up as an easy target.
