How to deal with death?
I just met my friend possibly for the last time they say that he wont make it through the night and when I met him he was barely conscious. This is my first time meeting a person who is barely alive and it is a feeling I don't want to have ever again. I need some ways that can help me through this hard time.
Thank you for reading this.

Re: How to deal with death?
Hey there, I know the feeling and I can relate. I suggest you do your best to move on, busy yourself with activity to try to get over the feeling. I know it is easier said than done, but I hope you manage to shake the feeling.
If you need more support, try here at the personal support section.

Re: How to deal with death?
The best you can do is to simply morn his loss, think about the best of times you've shared with him, and come to accept the terms he won't return. The only cure for a loss, is time. I wish the best for you, and as suggested above, try the Personal Support section.

Re: How to deal with death?
Death is a natural part of life. Where he is going there is no pain, and no desire to live. Of coarse you will miss him, but where he is going probably isn't any worse then here.

Re: How to deal with death?
People grieve in different ways, normally and abnormally. Those who have recently lost a loved one often require an extraordinary amount of support. After the passing of a loved one and the honoring of their time on Earth, time should be focused on helping the leaving deal with their loss.

Re: How to deal with death?
I've dealt with a few losses so I can relate - time is all that really will help you.
Everyday the thoughts will slowly stop coming, and one day you'll notice that the feeling is gone. Hang in there man, life goes on.

Re: How to deal with death?
Everyone relates and deals with death differently. Some people might have the will power to continue on with life straight away, and look towards the future. Some might suffer depression and take a good few months / years to move on.
IMO, dealing with death is associated with your personal life and the atmosphere you live and grew up in.

Re: How to deal with death?
Think of what your friend would want you to do, or what would you want them to do if the roles were reversed.
Death, although one of the worst things you gotta deal with in life, happens to everybody. It's only natural and completely acceptable to mourn their passing. But also take this time to rejoice that they are no longer in pain and that your still alive. Life is such a blessing and should never be taken for granted.
I'm sorry to hear about your friend, losing someone close is so difficult

Re: How to deal with death?
right now it is best to distract yourself.
ruminating is not the best thing to do atm.
this does not mean you are dishonoring your friend by not mourning.
PS
crying is ok. sometimes it is necessary.

Time is a great healer, it may not sound like it but it is. As for now let it all out ,it will make you feel bad if you bottle things up.
