Vouches when using PA?
I'm just wondering why your allowed to vouch for PA trades. There's no risk involved in using Player auctions, so I don't see why it's vouchable. I'm pretty sure the point of a vouch is to show that the trade that involved even the smallest bit of risk went smoothly. Player auctions is a secure payment method. I'm not trying to single anybody out, and I'm also about to start using Player Auctions, but I don't understand why your able to vouch for something that was a 100% secure trade. It's not even really an on site trade. Just want some feedback on this one. I'm not even sure this is the right section or not.

Re: Vouches when using PA?
I think it's up to the buyer to look at the sellers vouches and see where they are coming from, then judge if they are trustable.

Well, PA has nothing to do with trust though. That's the thing. PA is a secure checkout for both buyer and seller. In my opinion, PA vouches don't count for anything.
@ FireZ: Alright, thanks for clearing that up. Can be closed.

Re: Vouches when using PA?
If I make a sale on PA, they usually leave feedback on PA only and not sythe. Even if the trade was via sythe, but meh maybe that's because I don't really care about a few more vouches :\
I won't add the 'vouch' count on PA with the ones I have on sythe either, but I might put a link in my vouch thread later.

Re: Vouches when using PA?
Vouches are also important because they show that a person is *actually* selling stuff to other people. If you see that they have done 500 trades (even if it was relatively low risk ones), it's unlikely that they'd scam you (as long as its not like $100,000)

Re: Vouches when using PA?
I've actually been scammed on playerauctions as a seller, believe it or not.
I'll upload the pictures at some point in the future as its just the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. Yes, the money was revoked from my account after full delivery was confirmed.

Wait, Viou, what? Please upload this.
That's absolutely ridiculous, how can the money be taken from you after the buyer confirms full delivery? Was it a stolen Paypal?

Re: Vouches when using PA?
Your suggestion is absurd I don't need to physically trade with someone to know that their a good person just by talking to someone you can figure out their personalty etc. Infact I'm against all vouch restrictions including not vouching for gfx. Heres why In my mind you vouch for someone because you feel that they deserve the vouch whether that is because they had a good personality or because they didn't scam you is besides the point the fact is you feel that they deserve a thanks in a way and as long as a vouch reflects the reason it was given their should be no restrictions at all

It wasnt a suggestion. Look in the section that we're in. It wasn't meant to be implented, was meant as a question. Also, your not gonna do a sale on gold4rs then come here to vouch, because we both have accounts. Playerauctions is an off site secure trade, that's why I didn't understand why it should be vouchable.
@ Viou, I want to hear about that.

There's a difference.
If the trade began on Sythe, and the seller said "Pay through playerauctions, then I'll deliver your goods", that deserves a vouch. If the trade began on Player Auctions, and the buyer/seller said "Hey, I see you also use Sythe, want to vouch for me?", then that shouldn't be a vouch.
See the difference? Your example of buying from Gold4Rs doesn't work, as nobody posts a topic on Sythe saying "Selling gp, pay through Gold4RS".

The buyer confirmed full delivery, so him not having proof doesn't really matter, since the buyer said "Yes I got my money".

Can't wait, very interested to hear what happened.
Was this an isolated incident or do you foresee it happening more often in the future? I thought PA was 100% secure, but now I'm inclined to think otherwise if this happened to you.

Post proof the deal originates from sythe and you're fine.

Re: Vouches when using PA?
I know exactly where you're coming from punker. I brought up a similar topic. It was basically me saying that if you go first in a trade then you do not deserve a vouch because you weren't the one being trusted not to scam
