Default Discrepancy with Lock/Appeal Obligation

First, the scenario:

With the huge wave of hacks, I've had to unlock an ungodly amount of accounts that I have sold, even accounts that were sold well over 2 months ago. Obviously my IP trace on these 2+ month accounts is very weak, and the chances of me unlocking it are low.

Also, I've received PMs from about 10 different people now saying "WTF SCAMMER IM GOING TO REPORT YOU HOPE YOU DIE IN HELL" because they got hacked in this HUGE wave of phishing/keylogging/ratting. Some of these were also 2+ months old, and my IP trace is weak.

My question is this:

What is the actual obligation for me/other sellers to successfully recover the accounts? Especially if it was sold 2+ months ago, and the recovery is unlikely. I can see how a stolen password might suggest that I did it (even though they were certainly hacked by PB or something else), but what about locks? Someone had the balls to suggest that I'd get banned for not UNLOCKING an account.....

If you cannot unlock/recovery the accounts, then in most cases I'd expect that you refund them for what they paid. Your original IP is probably more stronger then all the evidence you give them, so it is up to you to recover/unlock accounts that you have sold to buyers if such situations arise.

If not it leaves an open playing field for account sellers to recover accounts after 2-3 months. Which IS scamming.

If they were phished the best you can do is try, we cant ban you anyways. I'd a least expect from the decency of a human you would attempt to help them out though.

This. Its a rather gray area, however I assume you are talking about the Arbi/powerbot hackings, which you are not really liable for.

Thanks, FireZ. I have submitted an appeal of everything, and I've done my best in all of the appeals, but one or two have come back denied. I played the accounts for less than a month before they were sold, so the IP trace is really very weak.

You should not be responsible. You are doing your part by helping them with appeals. Even if they are denied, they have no grounds to get you banned as it was their choice to use Powerbot/Arbibot.
