Another additional rule for trading
So basically I have been seeing a lot of people posting:
"Post your MSN or Contact Info and I will add you."
This leads to a lot of scams because people can easily say that they are that seller, a lot of people are to fucking retarded to tell them to PM there MSN over sythe or there to lazy causing them to get scammed, then on top of that they have screenshots of an msn that can't be claimed by anyone.
My Suggestion:
User must post there contact information on their thread or in their signature/profile, So that then if they do get scammed they can take the required screenshots for a scammer report.

I disagree.
This would mean you would have to publify your MSN, meaning hackers(Sigex) could hack anyone, and keep on scamming.

Re: Another additional rule for trading
But people always forget to take screenshots anyway, and tons of people edit the posts after. Can't stop that.

Re: Another additional rule for trading
I support. I find it annoying when people don't post their MSN address where it's easy to find.

Any experienced buyer will request that the seller send them a private message containing their MSN.

If any rule should be implicated, this one should.

I don't request PMs from sellers/buyers when they post their email, as it's just a waste of time and it only confirms what is already posted.

People can't edit or take back their PM's confirming it's them, but they can edit/delete their posts.

Screenshots take less time to make than it takes for the person to PM. Also, they usually post their email in more than one place, and google has it cached more times than not if the email is posted more than once and gets a few views.

Honestly, it should be made that when you MAKE your account, you give an email address that can't be edited, and when trading on that sythe account, you have to use that email address, or trades may be declined.
Just for safety/reporting reasons

People change their email's multiple times so I don't know how that'd work.

Re: Another additional rule for trading
No way I'm posting my MSN. I already have 1000 MSN contacts (maxed), and have to constantly delete people to add more. When you get well known online - it's nice to keep your public MSN at least a small bit private...that way random people don't add you just because they "like your program", or "heard you knew ____ person". This is probably one of the worst ideas I've ever heard.
Though I did notice, I never had to verify my sythe account via email - which definitly is a bad idea for any website...as Banned users will often come back and create new users easily.

First, the word is "publicize", "publify" isn't even a word. Second, you can't brute force someone's MSN password. Anyone who tells you it's possible is very, very, very dumb. If you aren't a complete idiot and don't download every file you see, your MSN password is completely secure.

You realize this wouldn't stop any scammers from coming back? If you're honestly telling me making a scammer take 20 seconds longer to register an account here is going to deter him from making multiple accounts, you really have no clue what you are talking about either.

Re: Another additional rule for trading
The way I do it is:
Get the person added
Send a PM with a bunch of copy pasta from the chat
Await a response
Works every time.

Re: Another additional rule for trading
There's no need for this really, and will be near to impossible to enforce it.
If you need the contact details, just send them a private message for their MSN, and to verify who they say they are. Then based on their vouches, and whatever else, you can see how much you trust them.
If you're stupid, you deserve to be scammed.

People need to start paying attention to what they are doing.
They get scammed because they aren't smart enough to use common sense and figure things out on their own.
People don't like to put their contact info on public for a reason.
