Adding an Xbox/Other Sales Mod
I have been saying this since they made the Xbox/Other Sales a seperate forum and have always been told there never will be a mod for there. I think it's interesting that most mods never really look in there until someone like myself contacts a mod and says "hey please lock this thread because of flaming/harrasing ect."
There are mods for forums such as GFX, Programming, Something for All forums which are all very small parts of Sythe. I don't know why a forum with so many posts and members that flock there on a daily basis doesn't have a few mods. The Xbox/Other Sales forum has grown by insane numbers since the release. I myself see people selling "stolen" accounts which they say are theirs and they should be banned. They don't until somone contacts a mod.
I've noticed that the current mods of the forum NickV, R2pleasent (spelling?) are never in the forum but they mod it? I usually contact somone like Benwise90 and he has proven to fix things, when there should be a specific 1-2 mods who have done alot for the forum should be chosen for mods, and that comes back to the same people would also be able to be a trusted MM for the forum since they have worked hard in it.

Re: Adding an Xbox/Other Sales Mod
I agree with this idea for many reasons:
- It's a market here that's often overlooked, but is very active.
- (Why is it a sub-section of an inactive section?)
- You rarely see and mods in the section (unless requested by a member).
- Spam / Scammer reports take too long to get noticed for immediate action as other sections are getting.
- Non-market sections have mods (because it's special?)
- Not all global mods can mod in the Xbox section because they may not have Xbox's or know enough about the section in itself. It'd be like me trying to mod in the Steam section or the WoW section.

Hmm, I can't say I fully agree with this, but I support the idea of more mod activity in that section, at least.

I support this idea as I am becoming more active with this section and there are no moderators.

NickV has been doing a solid job and people have been reporting. It's just that mods haven't really been doing the "Report a Spammer" section much of lately (with some exceptions of course). R2 has been on and off, haven't seen him much. I do agree they're more focused on the more Runescape market and do agree in suggestion for a little more versatility.
Is it that hard just to PM them and ask them to do something? Is the forum really that high in demand of mod activity? There's been a few really active threads (I'm just skimming through the forum) but mostly, many people just come and go. I do agree that there's been a lot more activity in those forums and it does call for more attention but a new mod would be going too far. If there's a serious problem just report the post and/or notify the staff via PM or something.
Good luck, I say no :\

- It's hard to PM them when they are rarely on, and other mods have to step in and mod their sections, so yes.
- The SFA sections (and others) don't have the same activity but they have a mod? Justify that?
- The problem is serious problems are being reported but being over looked because the mods can't get to all the reported posts.

Like me? This is the only thing I've asked for as I'm a huge part of the community, I find one mod who I am good friends with and ask him to do the work, in which our forum mods aren't even around for.

1. I do agree it's been hard to get into contact with them while they're "rarely on" and it's unfair if other mods have to step in to take action outside their designated forum but it defeats the purpose of Global Moderators.
2. The SFA section have a more stricter rule policy. It's generally communist (in a way) and you're limited to say your opinion but with reason. It's important that people contribute while giving an answer but not say something that's entirely off-topic and unreasonable. What people say and think are all important and MUST abide by the rules in a more more-so controlled environment. Too many spammed answers, the topic goes off-topic completely and defeats the purpose of a section for "intelligent conversation".
3. Well this has just been an issue lately. We all know. People have been suggesting and posting feedback about this issue several times recently. It hasn't been a problem for a while and it starts to build up now.

- It defeats the purpose to have inactive global mods, in my opinion they should be the backbone of the group of mods.

- So, we are worried about people spamming there, but we have tons of kids going around making threads "Message to (insert name here)" in the section and nothing is ever done? I thought spam was spam anywhere.

- It wasn't a problem when the section was small and inactive, but it's a fast growing section that is always overlooked by a majority of people that don't have any business there.

Re: Adding an Xbox/Other Sales Mod
Xbox sales are a subforum of a subforum. >.> We don't need a mod just for that section until it becomes more active.
The problem with even an "Other Sales" mod is that it would be hard to find someone for it. The main reason it receives so little attention now is probably that no one really has a specific interest in a miscellaneous junk pile - and that's really all that section is at the moment. If the individual MMO's grow large enough to demand their own sections, then they may get separate mods. Until then, you can PM important issues to the market mods or globals, or wait for mods to catch up on reports.

Lol there are actually people that are don't find that "Junk" i'm sure there are many people who actually look in all the "Other Sales" marketplace, But there has been a lot of spam/multiple same threads/obvious scammers/flame threads that have been going around that do need attending to, but then again it is just finding the right people, who are trustworthy

As Feren has stated, Other Sales with the Xbox forum has been blowing up. There have been 2200+ threads along with 17k+ posts, the xbox forum has been up for what since somethme ummmmmm back in March? Some of the forums have been up for years and it's overlooked by every mod. How can that not be thee fastest growing forum on sythe since it was released?I personally can say I've never seen NickV or R2 in their which are the forum mods.
Another issue is mods who have little knowlege about the forum, I will agree with Feren again, that why do we have a global mod who prolly cares not one bit about the Xbox forum. I myself along with Feren have spent alot of time working in the Xbox forum and contacting mods over issues and helping keep the forum alive. I think we know what to xbox forum is all about, and that there is nothing but alot of accusations and flaming that's been going on recently. When mods don't come in there, we have a 3 page thread that has to be locked because of flaming and people arguing or somone saying something about a member and another member agreeing and then them sayin "yea that kids a dick." and the reply with "Yea I know he's 2 faced." It seems like to get ahold of a mod it's difficult when our "globals" never come in.

People only look there when they have a specific interest in one of the games - as it seems you do for xbox.
I, for example, have never played Puzzle Pirates and have absolutely no idea what it is or what it's about. I'd have no interest in reading threads about it, nor would I understand them if I tried. Modding for that game? Boring, not to mention confusing.
Now, find me someone interested in and familiar with the majority of neopets, xbox, steam, habbo, puzzle pirates, windia, guild wars, rohan-online, maplestory, adventure quest, and all the rest of them, who still has time to mod on Sythe and is worthy of the position, then we can talk. >.> The xbox section by itself is, as I said, still too small to deserve it's own mod yet.
