We should be able to use this for donating....
We should be able to use Bitcoin to donate.
Yes, it is a pain to buy/sell. If you don't have a bank account.
However, sites do exist where people can buy bitcoin with Paypal, and i'm pretty sure some of the staff have Bank Accounts (lol).
Bitcoin has no chargebacks. This could let people donate via Paypal on the first donation - they buy bitcoin with Paypal and use it to donate.
Tl;dr: Bitcoin should be a donation option because it has no chargebacks.

Re: We should be able to use this for donating....
Don't think this is at all feasible, bitcoin is a relatively new virtual currently with no real support, popularity or backing. It would have to be sold after having been donated, why not just sell it then donate with cash? Most importantly it's not exactly stable, it would be difficult to price IMO + fluctuations. I like the idea of BitCoins but I don't think it'll ever be popular enough to be a feasible currency.

Bitcoins are the most popular virtual currency on the web, and are used very, very often.
After all, bitcoins are the most popular trade for illegal goods and activities in the deepweb since it's completely anonymous.

I think the current options are fine. If there was any more methods of donating to be added I'd suggest WU.

Not a chance unless we accept it at $10 per coin.

Although this is on the DNS list, I know personally that Richard is a fan of Bitcoin, so it might be a good idea to mention it to him as a donation option.

Denied unless matthew wants to add it, which so far we haven't for a reason.
