Imposters thread
Would'nt it be good to have a imposter thread which works the same way as a vouch thread where you can link them directly to a list of your imposters. This would save space in signatures because i dont and would say alot of people dont want to put a whole long list of imposters on their signature it would just take up to much advertising space, people have been telling me about my imposters i did'nt know what much more i could do as my signature is pretty clear then realised the scammers been linking them my vouches because it doesnt show my signature for some reason (which shows my MSN/SKYPE) so i copy and pasted my signature in there and made a list of known imposters so far aswell as put it in my title space.
-Let me know what anyone thinks or could add to this idea.
-I dont know if this has been suggested before if it has my bad.
-And i know people should'nt be so careless when trading but the fact is lots of newcomers are and it can't hurt to make sythe that bit more safer, if we got a spam section surely we can have a imposter section.

Re: Imposters thread
Imposter List for WELL-KNOWN and/or CREDIBLE members.
/Topic closed.
No need to make a new topic just to alert people of your imposters.
Added them to your OP, post your correct msn in your signature and profile.
AND if people still get scammed after that by one of your imposters then they deserve to for being dumb in the first place.
my 2c atleast.
+ Cant really babysit every newcomer that joins sythe.org.

Re: Imposters thread
I would like to see an imposter thread in place, but one that was kept up with regularly. The one the above me poster mentioned wasn't well kept up with.

yeah already said pretty much everything you just said.... did'nt realise there was a thread for well known sythe members but you know its not babysitting at all you write a list add a link to your signature and done , how is that babysitting ,like i said we got rubbish sections like SPAM i mean who does that help? why not a imposter section where the actual person who owns the sythe account can post not some mod.

It's just something else mods/admins would have to try to keep up with, just do what the poster above said, just put it in your OP or in your sig like everyone else, that way people will see it and not have to look for it.

Yeah exactly i did'nt even realise they were there this is really just to help newcomers who wont rage and give up after being scammed and can provide more business in the sythe community because lets face it all people who are pretty well vouched already know how to spot a imposter.

I dont see how a mod had to keep up with it, what i want is it to work the same a vouch thread the actualy sythe account owner posts his own list of imposters, and we all know you post it in your signature ect but whats the harm seriously

Re: Imposters thread
I support, this would really help to find out if someone is about to make a purchase/sale with an imposter.

Re: Imposters thread
I'm not sure if I completely understand you, but:
You can already make your own impostors thread (just by starting a thread) and put it in your signature. OR, you could just list your impostors in your vouch thread (which MANY people already do)! Save forum space, and time!
Making a designated impostors thread would be too much for mods to maintain, and isn't feasible. (if anyone is thinking of suggesting this)

Re: Imposters thread
I really never understood the point of impostor lists. You should ALWAYS assume someone is an impostor, except for the 1 MSN address they PM you with or is in their signature.

Re: Imposters thread
I don't think that it would help, given the infinite amount of impostor accounts that can be made.

yeah thats true but surely they must run out of minifoot addressed to give out and a msn like [email protected] acting like hes me wouldnt really stand a chance of scamming i wouldnt think, its the ones where they make it as simular to your email as possible that need to be shown as imposters more then anything.
