Should we even allow these threads?

Odds are no one knows or has the one name they are looking for and they turn into big spam threads.

seems pretty pointless to me too. If you're really looking for a name, it's a lot easier to post a thread for the name(s) you're looking for and then if anyone knows anything about it they can let you know.

How many successful trades have actually happened because of thread?

Well Ricky has decided to not continue that thread, and the person who thought he'd take it up is temp banned currently so that's not an option currently.

I just remember seeing them a lot prior to the thread, and now a few have crept in. 0 successful trades have occurred from the threads. Very slim chance any valid comment will be made on the threads either.

I see no harm in just creating a new sticky for any and all name requests. That would completely cut down on any individual threads that might pop up and it would concentrate ALL name requests into one area.

If it does cut down on individual threads, I'm down for a new sticky. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Richard close the previous thread because it was getting too large. So, I'm assuming a new sticky wouldn't be a bad idea. It did seem like an active thread, and there does seem to have a lot of demand for it, so I'm fine with a new sticky.
