[GFX] Signature size increase
Hello everyone!
I'd like to suggest an increase of signature size, from 650x350 (current maximum) to 825x350 or even 900x350.
As the signatures that are used to advertise services are very common on Sythe, I'd like to suggest this as there would be alot more possibility to display detail on works like signatures (Obviously, some will disagree, some will agree, I know).
Now, I don't see any problem with signature increase, as the files are hosted elsewhere anywhom, so I'd like your input on this!

I support, having a larger sig wont hurt anyone, and it is hard to add detail with a smaller sig

Your suggested size increase won't lengthen the signatures, only make them wider, which doesn't harm anybody.

Wider is okay with me, but NOT longer. I think they already are pretty lenient on how long they can be.

No support, while I enjoy a good signature I don't want to have to scroll through an entire page of signatures as N4N0 said. It would increase page load times and just make it look cluttered.

Unfortunately it just isn't viable to increase the dimensions at all. The limit on width is in place to prevent the stretching of people's screens and browser windows - many members use lower resolutions or have smaller screens, and making the allowed dimensions larger would just cause too much inconvenience.

He's only proposed to increase the allowed width dimensions, not the height, so scrolling down through longer pages and taller signatures wouldn't be an issue. The main issue instead would be browser/window stretching...

I know, I don't want my screen filled with a signature though. It would just be very cluttered and, as you said, would cause screen stretching if you weren't using a higher resolution monitor. (Which my college doesn't, sadly.)

I have a widescreen monitor (1400x900) and I doubt I would be affected by this. As much as this is nice idea I know it would make work easier for GFX artists in designing signatures, enlarging the width of signature limits would have an effect on a lot of user's viewing experience. I know a lot of people don't have big resolutions like I may do. And no one wants to view nearly every single forum thread with the annoying scroll bar across the bottom. No support, no hard feelings Kina.

As the current size stands, if someone is using the max sig size (650x300), ONE post of their's will take up the entire screen on a normal monitor. A lot of people (such as myself), use average size monitors, and one post covering the entire screen is quite enough for me. I do not want to have to scroll down through even more signature space just to get to the next post.

By increasing the width from 650 to 825 for example, you wouldn't be scrolling any further then normal.

Increasing the side dimensions wouldn't make a difference.
Nobody has a monitor 650 xp in width.

personally it would be nice, but I don't see the benefit of it for me without increasing height as well. To increase detail, I would really rather more height than more width - That is obv not gonna happen though, so I'll let it drop
On another note, even my 5 year old piece of total shit craptop has a screen that is 1300 px wide, so that isn't necessarily that much of an issue
