I think that is the issue, of people abusing that system. I myself have no problem with 24 hour bump rule it works, but if people are allowed to abuse that system then it's sort of unfair to others who do not wish to.

Re: Excessive Bumping
Eh. People will simply hire other employees to bump their thread more indiscriminately. We've never tried to regulate this sort of bumping, and I don't see the point in starting.

Re: Excessive Bumping
I believe it should be added to the rules with a limit of 3 bumps per 24 hours

I do this myself.
And i don't see why it should be banned, as bumping was only outlawed to prevent post count boosting.

Re: Excessive Bumping
In my opinion, as long as a user deletes his previous bump before he makes another, its fine. I would personally like to see the bumping rule abolished, as long as everyone can bump as much as they want (as long as they delete their old bump first), its fair game and not spamming. However, I wouldn't see a problem with lowering the limit to 1 hour either.

My stance on this, but it'll just turn it into a "bump your thread and delete every 5 minutes" contest in the market.
Here's the best solution, but I doubt it will be implemented:
- Bump button, limit once per XX hours
- Combine double posts automatically
- Your own posts do not bump your thread up

Re: Excessive Bumping
Allowing mods to bump and delete is extremely unfair to the rest of the traders.
Albeit 50% of the gold traders nowadays have some kind of mod powers, the other 50% does not.
The only solutions to make it fair are:
1. Bump button
2. Limit on responses to your own posts per unit time
Combining double posts would simply allow for infinite bumping, which is fine with me actually.

Where did anyone say this would only be for mods?

It's normal. I think it's quite obvious.

Bump button is on the DNS so that's a 100% no. But it might work.

Re: Excessive Bumping
As it stands right now, you're forced to either delete/bump constantly, or watch your topic fall down to the bottom under other people who are delete/bumping.
I'm actually fine with delete/bumping, as it doesn't technically create spam, and the people that are more active/online will have their topics at the top.

Re: Excessive Bumping
I support this.. I never bump my threads unless I'm responding to someone.. It got moved to the last page for a reason so why not keep it there?
isn't there already a 1 bump per 24 hours rule? or something like that
