This is an easy way to get the Ip of anyone that sends you an email, Take it for what it is.
-Just Right click on the message, Click View message source, Once you do that a new window will pop up revealing the goods

Most mail clients, like gmail and yahoo and hush, will route the email through their own server first so all that appears in the IP field is the IP of the server. I guess it works for hotmail though

Never knew that, thanks This could be used for bad things though e.g. sending traffic through there IP to make them disconnect from RuneScape.

Maybe now you know one way of getting another person ip address, you will not fall for a ddos trick via e-mial next time.

That's right, you can't get an original IP adress from Gmail or Hush (with standard options).

Maybe you can also add how to do this in Outlook / Thunderbird.
Or do none of you use those?^^

I just put my personal e-mail and hotmail email accounts in Thunderbird
