How to improve speed for your PC
Hey all ^^
I've been resurrecting some old guides, but this time I'm going to create a simple, new, few-step guide to running games (or anything) faster!
Scan your computer
This is very obvious, but still needs to be done! This comes down to preference of which you'll use, but any of them will work.
-Malwarebytes [this is a very good free virus/malware removal program, and doesn't take all too long to scan.]
-A paid antivirus [Check reviews, but a paid antivirus is the best thing four your system. Personally I use Panda, but it's up to you.
Don't fall for bullshit
It's sad to say, but it's a known truth. There are plenty of advertisements out there for scanners that will infect your computer and force you to restore or pay for their service.
-NEVER fall for a "system32" delete troll. System 32 is a vital component to running your computer, NEVER MESS WITH IT.
-Ask a friend or a search engine. Other users take viruses seriously, and will always let you know if a program has malicious intent.
-Don't download stupid things. This goes for pornography and other extremely obvious things. Once again, search around before downloading a new or non-trusted program.
Run CCleaner
I really can't stress how useful of a program this is. It removes small and pesky unwanted junk on your computer that is slowing down EVERY move you make.
- I'm not going to put any links, but search and you'll find the program. You can run it as often as you'd like, but I'd do it once a month minimum if you're on for more than 3 days a week.
Delete unwanted programs
People need to do this more. If you bought a game and no longer play it, or downloaded a program for a one-time use, get rid of it! You can find that in the picture below:

-Just double click on the program that you want to remove. Depending on the complexity of the program, you may also need to search around and delete any files related to that program.
Run Game Booster[Gaming]
Game Booster is a program that ends unnecessary processes that you're running to allow you to game faster. This is not to be used on dual-monitor display, and should be checked out before you delete a process that you may need.

-Customize which processes and other things you wish to end while you're gaming, and when you click "Start boost," they will be stopped until you stop boosting the program.
That's all that I have for today. As usual, post any grammatical errors that you find, and I'll thank you.
Good luck, and have fun gaming!
Thanks to Wulfspade1, as always <3
Thanks to neo coolboy as well!

Re: How to improve speed for your PC
A nice guide in general. Though, I think you should look over and correct some grammar/spelling mistakes. Also, it would be better if you could link us to the programs instead of just stating them. By the way, it's called "CCleaner," not "CCCleaner." The huge titles are a bit annoying, toning them down would be nice. Good job, though! =)

Re: How to improve speed for your PC
Thanks very much. I'll fix that when I'm home today.
Am I allowed to link to the programs? :s
It's iffy direct linking to other sites.

CCleaner*
Good albeit basic information, but I'm always surprised at how little people know about their own computers. This will probably help out some kiddos.

Re: How to improve speed for your PC
I currently do ALL of this. :O What is funny is that everyone recommends Game Booster, yet I see no visual change or FPS change in any games I play when using it.

Re: How to improve speed for your PC
Nice guide, loved seeing Game Booster in there although where is Advanced SystemCare??? It beats CCleaner by miles. And a newer version of Game Booster is out, and 3 looks a lot different than 2. You might want to update them.
Maybe provide some links to software as well.

Re: How to improve speed for your PC
It's a good guide, all very self explanatory stuff, I like GameBooster but as an add-on I'd suggest u throw up Advance System Care 4 up there aswell, GREAT registry cleaner, better then CCleaner imo.

Correct, I've come to know that both are very good programs.
The Advanced SystemCare 5 beta is out and I can tell you, it rapes 4.
Also, why not inculde Smart Defrag? It is made by the same people who made ASC and GB, and it is one of the best defrag programs on earth, not to mention it's free.

Re: How to improve speed for your PC
I'll take a look into them. I'm not going to use programs in my own guide that I'm not 100% sure of. These are the ones that I believe to be very important and easy, and that's why they're here.
I hope you're not taking this insultingly, but feel free to make your own guide as well .
I'll look into all of the recommended programs, thank you!
