There's nothing to debate. For one, it would be impossible to hold such a vote since you'd need everyone to participate. Even if 100% of the users online right now voted "Yes" for this said moderator to be demoted the numbers would be as follows:
Currently Active Users: 914
Members: 261,335
914/261,335 = 0.0035% of the entire Sythe Population, a little more than a third of a percent.
60% Majority Vote would entail 156,801 Members voting yes in this poll. There is no way anybody on this site could mobilize such a vote with such astounding numbers. You also need to keep in mind that tens of thousands of Sythers have moved on and quit the site, are currently banned, or are simply not interested in the community and who runs it.

Are sectional moderators ever asked about how well a user is doing in a section if the user is being polled on whether to be promoted or not? For example, if there was a poll for a new RuneScape moderator, would a current RuneScape moderator be asked who is most active in the RuneScape sub-forum?

Community mod moderates the community section, hence the name. And there are none because there's currently no need for one, as the globals are the ones who primarily manage the section.

we all should have these kinds of aspirations..
We all should strive to make this community a better more tight more smoothly operated and just overall an even more awesome community than it already is..
I think we do a great job already but some sections and some moderators slack on it.:/ |

Usually I thought only Finn was involved but it looks like each group has different staff groups on the issue. Thanks.
