The Graphics Section.

Honestly, the graphics section has been VERY inactive, and I really don't like that. There is like only a few people who actively participate in that section, and I would like that to change. Myself and Kinaesthic have been talking, we decided to team up to increase the activity in that section. We will be restarting the SOTW, and we'll have prizes. I'm also thinking about other ideas, such as a graphics worm, graphics "school," etc. Stay tune for more updates about this. I urge everyone to come and try out the graphics section. It doesn't matter if you're not good, you can always improve, and who knows, you might find yourself a new hobby.

I try to actively post in that section, but I am not much of a graphics person. The reason people aren't posting is because this community just doesn't attract the people wanting to go to graphics.

I'd personally love to see some tut about how to create certain works of art on Photoshop, or similar programs. I really hope you two can reinvigorate it, and give it the activity it deserves.

Sounds good. I'm a huge fan of GFX, and I'm kind of confused why we don't have a SotW. It'd be cool to vote. Prizes would make it more active.

I tried to make a sig yesterday. Oh my did it suck, we really need some guides, and i think when these come out, and SOTW comes out, people will start to want sigs again

And not just that. When SoTW comes out, other good people will/may be discovered, and then a variety of new sigs will emerge.

I personally don't do much in the way of GFX, but I'm glad to see that SoTW and such are being brought back. I hope this helps bring life back to the section.

Its ovbious why graphics is inactive.

Only talented people can create it, + You only need graphics once and then your done.
Maybe kina can make a video commentating and teaching people how to get started making graphics.

The stickies have been made, be sure to read them. The entry thread for the first SoTW will be made on monday, during this time, I suggest you guys sharpen your photoshop/gimp skills!

My best friend will be joining Sythe shortly, he's absolutely insane at GFX and I'd even go out on a limb and compare his talents to that of Kinaesthic. I'll hang around that section with him since he doesn't play runescape at all lol

I like to mess around in photoshop from time to time, though obviously I'm nowhere near on the level of some of these other guys. I like the idea of a "school" and would like to be able to make some professional looking graphics in the future

Oh very excited about this! I remember watching my cousin on this sythe before i joined and he was always trying to improve his sig making capabilities due to SoTW...and I just think the competition makes it that much better! Cant wait, Always here to help if you guys need it. [about ideas and shit lol]

Alright, because of the CURRENT inactivity of the graphics section, Finn suggested we do the SoTM instead, and we're going though with that idea. If the activity increases, and I hope it does, we'll revert back the the SoTW.
