Hey guys. Sorry it's been like forever since I had my last staff interview but I was banned for a while and then I had complications with being online as the same time as the people I wanted to interview. But I finally got the next edition out with the help of Plznate. Have fun reading.
How did you find Sythe/why did you stay?
I originally joined Sythe because I heard through a friend last year that Jagex was reintroducing RSC for a limited time. I played RS on and off (mostly off) since 01, and RSC was the most enjoyable time. I found Sythe when looking for a place to purchase a few RSC mills for my own staking enjoyment. After seeing some of the potential business opportunitys after examing guys like R2, I decided to stick around and test it out.
About when did you really get involved with the community and start trading/posting a lot?
I was originally scammed in my second trade and it pissed me off and motivated me at the same time; I decided to try out the market until I could make back the money I lost. I opened a botting service initially to get some rep, and that is when I think I began to start noticing the vibrant community that Sythe has in addition to its market.
Since then you have been a part of lot's of groups on sythe such as the UE and your still an OMM. When did you decide to join these groups and why have you left the UE?
I think I joined UE in my first 3 months on Sythe, and was a more or less long standing UE for a total of 8 months. I left the team a few months ago after what I perceived to be a lack of unity in command in that section which was causing issues, and I didn't really think it was headed in the right direction. Outside of that though, i truly enjoyed my time as a UE under R33l and Dalpra. I have also enjoyed being OMM, as I put a lot of time and effort into getting the rank.
Alright. Some people have been wondering why you donated $1,000 to the site. Why did you do it and what perks have they offered you?
My initial intent was to donate a certain percentage of what I had made on the site to give back. With the return of free trade I was able to cash out the bills I had made from merchanting in game to make a tidy amount of profit. As such, I donated a small percentage of the profits. I never spoke with anyone about it before doing it, so I didn't expect any special donor benefits, nor do I now. Any person who has been able to make a fair amount of profit from Sythe I would hope to be generous to be willing to give back a small portion as well to help the site to continue to run smoothly : )
It's good you got your intentions right. 
When you were first offered staff as a market moderator did you expect it and then did you also expect to rise in the ranks so quickly?
Actually I did not really expect to get moderator of any type for a long time, if ever. I was very excited when I was offered the position of market sectional and pleased that I was given the opportunity to prove myself. I made good use of that opportunity by trying to give the best effort I could at moderating and trying to balance that with my market activities. I guess they thought it was a fair balance, and no I was not expecting to be promoted to global so quickly either, another instance where I feel awful lucky to be able to help out more around the forums.
Do you have any future plans for Sythe like possibly becoming an admin one day?
I have no intention or expectation of becoming an admin. I am not technically smart enough to work the admin CP I imagine. However if the offer were ever made to run some other aspects of the site then I would most likely take that up. I dont currently have any plans other than continuing to mod, do some basic marketing, and run gold donations, but I plan on sticking around for a good while
It's good to hear we have a good trusted member staying. How does your work on Sythe affect your real life commitments and your work with the military?
It doesn't. School comes first, and I take my army things very seriously. I actually head to Georgia in about 2 months to begin my career as an army officer, but I wont be deploying or anything that will take up all of my time for a few years most likely. So Ill be fine doing the Army route and still being able to hang out on Sythe as a hobby.
Great. =) So could you tell us a little bit about your self? Like job and year at college?
I am a senior at college (university), majoring in Spanish and Military Science. I speak Spanish to some degree of fluency, I also dabble in a few other languages (have studied Thai/French/German/Chinese/Italian) to some extent. My main hobby is fighting MMA and just working out in general. I have an active social life and I enjoy having a good times on the weekends hitting up the party/bar scenes. I am on a full ride scholarship so money has never been an issue, and outside of my businesses on Sythe, I do not have any part time job or anything.
Wow. Sounds pretty busy. If there was some one that you banned that read this what would you say to them? (If anything)
Well it depends really. If I banned them for scamming or other malicious activity, then I wouldnt have anything to say. If for some other reason, then I would say read the rules and better luck next time. I am usually pretty lenient in my bannings, and I try to make sure I dont give any false bans since that is pretty serious.
How did you choose your name when you joined Sythe?
Plznate was the name of my first runescape account. Basically when I made an account in 01 I naturally wanted "Nate". I tried a few combos of that with one letter and none worked. I got frustrated and literally just smashed my keyboard real quick then finished with nate. Plz was the result of my keyboard smash, so I have used the name ever since for most of my forum names
If there was one thing on Sythe that you could change (Could be staff or really just anything) what would it be?
In a perfect world, get rid of most of the scammers as that is the single most degrading issue about Sythe. In a practical sense, I guess having free reign to implement some stricter trading policies and a few more tools to facilitate safer trading would be nice. Oh ya, and the revival of the spam forum would be nice too.
Why do you dislike the spam forum?
I dont dislike it, I just wish it were still as active as it were back when I was a newer member. I swear you could refresh the page every few seconds and there would be a new thread or post in there. It has a lot less activity now.
Agreed. Even in the short while I have been here it has really gone down hill.Well that's all for now. Thanks for taking the time for the interview. Any last words to the people reading?
