So in this section many users are buying and transferring Display names off of lvl 3 accounts in tutorial. This requires membership on a level 3 that's often still in the tutorial.

I'd like to buy those accounts AFTER the rare/desired display name is gone as long as the account has 25+ days of membership left.

I'll be paying 4m+ per account, depending on how many days of membership is left. also depending on how membership was paid.

Not trying to impose on your thread by any means, but when people purchase membership on these accounts it's to transfer the name. Transfer takes 28 days or more. Which is about all the membership is good for.

No Sir, he means after you change your display name, you can log off the account. the buyer of the display name has to wait 28 days. He wants the level 3 thats a noob with membership.

I'm still learning how transfers work.. so a display name takes 28+ days to become available after you change the level 3's name OUT of it?

in either case NRQ is right, all i want is the lvl 3 with the random name + membership. but i can see the problem. will it have the "last known as 'rare name'" symbol?

My point was, after the 28 day wait, there's only 3-4 days left on the membership most of the time.

right but why is there a 28 day wait? in order to transfer don't you make it members and change the name immediately, then wait for the rarename to become available? i want to buy the account right after you change the name, while you're still waiting for it to become available..

the problem i didn't see when i started, was that the noob acct would have the 'random name' with the *last known as 'rare name'. if this is true, then i wouldnt be able to buy until the 'rare name' was taken, which you're saying takes 28 days?

That would basically mean you're buying rare names for 4mil each, if i'm understanding that correctly.

when transfering a name.

'rare name' lvl 3 ---> gets Membership --> changes name to 'joebob2342' logs out-->wait 28+ days --> change 'mynubby mains name' to 'rare name' --> rejoice.

IF that above is how to transfer a name. then this is what i want to do:

'rare name' lvl 3 ---> gets Membership --> changes name to 'joebob2342' logs out--> Sell 'joebob2342' to Carruthers --> wait 28+ days --> change 'mynubby mains name' to 'rare name' --> rejoice.

BUT! IF that means that i could then steal the rare name because it's still somehow attached to the account, then ignore my thread, that's not my intention.

i just assumed that once you change the name on the lvl3, the account is worthless. (except for the membership)

With what you're wanting to do, the rare name still exists on the account while you own it. Which in turn means you have access to their name, which some people wouldn't be comfortable with.

Understandable so. i didn't think it through, damn. so it really is a waste of membership lol.
