I am in a severe depression. Its 4 AM here and I cant sleep and I am in a wreck. Last Christmas I bought an account and made foolish decisions and lost 400$. I lost my whole christmas. I vowed to make up for it.

This Christmas I begged my parents to forward me my Christmas money early, so I could order from HamJamk, and tijn for gold. They grudgingly agreed. I ordered the service and was the happiest guy alive. For 5 days. Yesterday, the original owner from 3 years ago recovered the account and told me to my face "Thanks for all the 99s and the 350M sucker."

I have now lost the past 2 Christmases to scams, I have no place in real life, runescape is the only place i feel alive. I have nothing in life to look forward to, and the past 3 years of my life have just been proven to be meaningless. I now find myself looking at suicide forums looking for help I cant find. I have no place to turn. I want to continue playing runescape, as it is the only thing that makes me feel good, and it has just been shut down. I have no christmas money left. I cant tell my parents about my problems because they would never let me have a cent if they found out all the money I had just gotten went down the drain - again. Please, if you have any comfort for me, please help..

Bro, right now I feel about the same. Except my problems are over a girl and the tough economy.

Runescape may make you feel alive but, sadly enough when you get older you probably wont care for runescape and you will have wasted you life away on a pointless game that will only give you so much enjoyment. You'll look back 20 or so years from now wondering how stupid you where to wasted your life, time, and hard earned money on a game.

My suggestion, get out while you can. Start a real life. Get into the dating world or simply hang out with your friends. Spend your money wisely on something as simple as food to a date with some hot chick from school.

Be glad you got something for Christmas- I on the other hand am getting nothing.

I feel bad for you. This is one of the reasons why I never dare buy an account from anyone. Even if they're "trusted". "Trusted" people can always take the wrong path and just recover all their accounts back once they've had enough of the forum. You should go tell someone that cares about you about your situation. I know they'll make you feel better and as it's been said above, 20 years from now, you will look back in the past and regret on all the time and money you've wasted on a pixel game that wont last a lifetime. I say that you should just start an account and play legit or possibly buy an account from someone that is beyond trusted.

never buy accounts, always make your own. thats a lesson you should learn. But its christmas and just go out and hang out with friends its not about presents or money cause some ppl dont get either

There are other things that can make you feel alive. RuneScape isn't the only game out there. Neither is it the only hobby. You just need to find it. Try different things now, like anime and actual gaming (Crysis 2, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Fallout: New Vegas, so many new titles). Hang out with your friends more. Even if it is boring, you'll find out that you've passed the day without even knowing it, and you won't find any left for RS.

If all else fails, then you have no choice but to go back to RuneScape. Start new, but don't ever buy another account ever again. This is precisely why I wanted to start from scratch rather than buy an account.

But know this, you can still turn away, with enough resistance and self-control. If you do now, you won't regret wasting your time on a game that took so many years to earn meaningless achievements. Make your choice.

Money isn't everything and neither is runescape. You need to find new hobbies trust me I've been down that road and nothing is worse than sitting in your room alone crying about it because I did that for 2 years and it got me no wheres but behind in school and very emotionally sensitive.

I started off doing small tasks and eventually led myself into getting a job. (which I quit because school is now more important this new year)

Everyone always told me that no matter what you always have something to look forward to and I never believed them until I actually tried to help myself.

Please, are you actually an avid gamer yourself? By 'games' I don't mean MMOs. MMOs can be highly addictive and hard to let go off. Go play FPS, RTS, TPS, RPG and all that kind. No matter how good they are, you'll stop playing it after a while, and guess what? You won't have any remorse about it either. You'll just wait in anticipation for a sequel or prequel, and that is better than trusting random people on the internet.

Another way you could start playing is buy bots instead of accounts and bot your way through. Be on the account while you bot so you won't get reported or caught. Thats the best I could offer you

Does playing runescape really make you happy? It doesn't sound like it.. it ruined two of your christmases.

What exactly do you wish to achieve in runescape? Do you just want to own an account with lots of cash and all 99s eventually? If so why not just create/continue your own main and actually enjoy PLAYING the game yourself? If you enjoy actually playing runescape.. stop buying accounts and PLAY the game and have FUN. If you don't enjoy playing and just want a high level character for the hell of it you might as well quit.

I had the same issue- though not as bad. I lost 700 dollars to people recovering accounts but it's all good now.

It seems like you don't really enjoy the game like you used to, you just want an account that has respect because maybe you lack receiving respect in real life?

go hustle some actual money, thats a much better feeling that having runescape money, you just need to take a step back and look at what the game has become- it's nothing like it used to be, put it in the past. go be a little more social, fuck the haters. You just need to get out and see some of your past time friends you grew up with, they will enjoy your company. I have a friend that sits inside all day because he's so customary to it now and I think he feels like he will be out of place if he comes out, but in all reality me and all his other old friends wish he would come out and hang, but hes just paranoid about it now it's been so long i think. Im getting the vibe its kinda how your situation is- if it is, then trust me no matter what you think I'm sure your buddies miss you, you should use reality to create happiness, not a fake fantasy game to create a fake substitue for happiness that will fade eventually.

I did and still sort of feel this way. Runescape can be a lot of fun, especially when your really rich and a high level but it never is good in the long run. I have spent way to many hours working on runescape and getting money in real life and it's not all it cracks up to be. Honestly spend this time with people. Money and runescape shouldn't be nearly as important as your family and friends. Once you learn to balance things out with them you can re-evaluate if runescape will help you in life or give you real joy.
